Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Chairez.
Hi Stephanie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story with food actually began long before I ever became a content creator.
I grew up watching my dad work incredibly hard to provide for our family. He often worked two or three jobs, so while we loved having him home, I also remember how much of his life was spent working and providing for us. My mom was a stay-at-home mom, and I grew up watching her care for our family in a completely different way especially through food.
I remember my dad coming home from work and my mom putting a plate of food in front of him. Even after a long day, his face would light up. It was such a simple thing, but as I got older, I realized that food wasn’t just food in our home. It was one of the ways my parents showed love and took care of each other.
My dad also loved to cook when he had days off. He would make up the most random combinations and somehow they would always turn out amazing. We would look at him like, “Are you sure about this?” and then end up loving it. I think that’s where I learned that cooking doesn’t always have to be perfect or follow a recipe. Sometimes it’s about creating something with what you have and putting a little bit of yourself into it.
Today, cooking is still one of the ways I express love. I’m married to the love of my life, whom I met when I was 19, and our home and our meals have become a huge part of my life. My husband is a very picky eater, so I love creating meals that I know he’ll genuinely enjoy. I don’t just cook because we need to eat. I cook because I know what he loves, I take the time to make things fresh, and I enjoy knowing that something I made can make his day a little better.
That’s ultimately what led me to content creation. I started sharing my cooking, baking, home, and everyday life, and over time I realized that people connected with more than just the recipes. They connected with the meaning behind them.
To me, cooking is intimate. I don’t believe you pour your time and energy into a meal for just anyone. When I cook for someone, it’s because they mean something to me. I think food carries the energy and intention of the person making it. When I’m happy, relaxed, and genuinely enjoying the process, I can feel that difference in what I’m creating.
My platform has given me a way to share that perspective with other people. I want women to see that there can be so much beauty in the everyday things—making dinner for the people you love, creating a home you’re proud of, slowing down, and finding joy in taking care of the people who matter to you.
What started as something I simply loved doing at home has grown into my career, but the heart behind it hasn’t changed. I’m still cooking for the same reason I always have: because food is one of the ways I know how to say, “I love you.”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been learning to see what I do as a legitimate career and business.
When you come from a more traditional background, it’s easy to think of content creation as something you do for fun rather than something you can build a career around. I had to learn how to trust myself, recognize the value of my creativity, and understand that the time and energy I put into creating content is worth something.
As my platform grew, I also had to learn how to navigate the business side of being a creator working with brands, negotiating, setting boundaries, and becoming comfortable saying no to opportunities that aren’t right for me. That has been a learning experience because I’m someone who genuinely loves creating and connecting with people, so it can be difficult to separate the personal passion from the business side.
I’ve also learned that growth doesn’t always happen overnight. There have been moments where I’ve questioned whether I was doing enough or whether people would continue to care about what I was sharing. I’ve had to remind myself that I didn’t start creating because I wanted to chase numbers. I started because I genuinely loved cooking, creating a home, and sharing the things that bring meaning to my everyday life.
The biggest challenge has ultimately been learning to trust that something can be meaningful to me personally and still have value professionally. I’m still learning, but that’s also what makes the journey exciting.

I’m a full-time food, home, and lifestyle content creator. I share recipes, cooking, baking, homemaking, and the little everyday moments that make a house feel like home. My work is deeply rooted in my love for food and family, and I believe cooking is more than simply making something to eat it’s a way of creating, connecting, and showing love.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest piece of advice for anyone just starting out is to start before you feel ready. You don’t need the perfect camera, the perfect home, a huge following, or a perfectly curated feed to begin. I started by simply sharing something I genuinely love cooking and over time, I learned what my audience connected with and what I enjoyed creating.
I also think it’s important to stay true to yourself instead of trying to recreate someone else’s success. Trends can be helpful, but your personality, perspective, and story are what make people want to continue following you.
And most importantly, treat your work like a business once you’re ready to make it one. Learn your value, don’t be afraid to set boundaries, and don’t feel pressured to accept every opportunity that comes your way. Growth takes time, and you don’t have to say yes to everything just because you’re grateful someone noticed you.
Create because you genuinely love what you’re sharing, be patient with the process, and let your own voice be what sets you apart.
