Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Williams.
Hi Stephanie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey as a venue owner began when I fell in love with photography. Every photographer has a specialty; mine happened to be couples and intimate weddings.
From photographing backyard weddings to the courthouse, I had my fair share of intimate unions. Yet there was one thing in common, all of my couples had some regrets.
Feeling as if their backyard or courthouse wedding was their only option because smaller venues was far in between. It was then, I knew I wanted my own space.
A space that was not only affordable but that specialized in small and intimate weddings. But that also didn’t feel like second best to a big traditional wedding!
I wanted my couples confident in knowing they chose our venue purposely. And all the traditional elements of a big wedding could still be incorporated.
That is how The Space on West Main came to be what it is today.
We not only host weddings but all intimate events as well.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I laugh at the term “smooth road” because starting any business is anything but. Especially since we started this journey in the middle of a global pandemic.
But we all know, anything worth having doesn’t come easy. The process of finding the perfect location to the build-out all had its challenges.
Did it stop me from proceeding? Absolutely not. I don’t believe in backup plans, so I executed and we are thriving.

Stephanie is a creator, but not just any creator but a creator of love. I capture couples in their purest form and deliver it digitally. This is a fancy sentence for “photographer”.
I’m known for being true to my style. For approaching my sessions with a unique perspective.
I’m most proud of the fact that I am still here. Still going. The photography industry is definitely oversaturated but there is only one me. This is also the reason why my business model thrives off 90% referrals and repeat clients. That is what sets me apart.
