Hi Tamara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
co•lab is a seamless collaboration that merges the worlds of design and photography, creating captivating narratives and elevating brands. In a nutshell, we are two creatives in the branding/design and photography worlds who became friends, realized we walked parallel in business ventures, and decided to take on clients together.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s smooth sailing because we just take what we love, capture and create. We both own our own brands, so we are really running how we normally do, just getting to peek inside the curtain of each other’s processes. It lends itself to a lot of learning of new ways to approach clients both creatively and in business.

The landscape changes so quickly. Right now, we’re really loving brand work, which is why we have collaborated and created something that so many people need in this era of entrepreneurial ventures. It’s been a really interesting yet outstanding few years in figuring out how to navigate business post covid. I feel like it stirred up a desire in people to get out there and be resourceful. What sets us apart from others is the fact that we are already both successful in our separate businesses, so we get to enjoy these projects almost as passion projects. It brings a new vibe to the way we work.

Our families: kiddos/husbands, our friends. It takes a village to make boss lady things happen as we’re home and juggling life.
