Life & Work with Victor Adekola

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Adekola.

Hi Victor, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
As a young and growing entrepreneur, I have always liked to try lots of activities which gave birth to Baycarl Enterprises back in Nigeria, but when I moved to the United States which we all know it’s a land of opportunity anyone could grow its potentials irrespective of race and nationality, as long as you’re dedicated and committed, so I felt I needed to also develop my passion for taking photos which I use to have when I was in secondary school (high school), then I got my first camera and started practicing with friends and church members but fortunately for me I was getting mind-blowing comments from people around about how great my photos were coming out, this comments were encouraging so I decided to grow from my passion into the professional level of photography with the name Baycarl Photography, and now had grown to where it is today and to God be the glory it’s been amazing and has giving me the opportunity to meet some amazing people, added source of income and a chance to travel around.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not been smooth, when I first started, I encountered some challenges which I believe are normal for every business, for example when I first started getting the best location for shoots and picking the best lighting for concepts was a struggle but not anymore.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m into various kinds of photography like events, portraits, and corporate for both indoor and outdoor, I’m proud to have successfully kept the chain of my business internationally

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Yes…I learned to never underestimate the power of social media and technology because it helped me to stay in touch with lots of clients, fix appointments and make effective plans without meeting physically and also another lesson I learned is to always be prepared for hard times
