We recently had the chance to connect with Lizbeth Garcia and have shared our conversation below.
Lizbeth, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m most proud of the feeling my business has built over the past two years and the trust my clients place in me to bring their visions to life. What began as a personal passion has grown into something deeply meaningful — a community built on creativity, reliability, and genuine connection. There’s no greater compliment than seeing clients return, refer others, and share how much joy my work brings them. Those moments remind me that I’m not just building a business, but lasting relationships and a reputation grounded in care, consistency, and excellence.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I started my business in July 2023, inspired by something simple — not knowing what to gift my mom for her birthday. What began as a creative idea quickly blossomed into a full-fledged business built around bringing people’s special moments to life. I now offer money, floral, and diaper bouquets, stand-up heart and funeral arrangements, as well as room, hotel, and proposal setups, along with 1:1 classes and mentorship to new and upcoming florists across the US. What truly sets my business apart is my commitment to making things happen for my clients, no matter the circumstances. Even when faced with something I’ve never done before, I always find a way to bring their vision to life with care, creativity, and determination. Every project reminds me why I started- to create something meaningful that leaves a lasting impression.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is the one I share with my brother. He believed in me long before I believed in myself, and his support has been a driving force behind my growth both personally and professionally. As a successful businessman for over ten years, he has been a mentor, investor, and constant source of encouragement. From the very beginning, he saw potential in me that I hadn’t yet recognized and invested in my business without hesitation. His confidence in my abilities pushed me to carry myself with more purpose, discipline, and pride not just as a businesswoman, but as a woman who knows her worth and is capable of achieving anything she sets her mind to.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be to stop comparing your growth to others — your path is uniquely your own. Everything in life unfolds in God’s perfect timing and in ways you may not always understand at first, but His plan is always greater than your own. Trust the process, stay true to who you are, and keep your faith at the center of everything you do. One day, you’ll look back and realize that every challenge, delay, and detour was leading you exactly where you were meant to be all along!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what really matters to me is making a meaningful impact through my work and the way I treat people. They know how much pride I take in my business and how deeply I care about bringing my clients’ visions to life. I’m passionate about creating moments that make people feel special, and I always go above and beyond to make it happen — no matter the challenge. My friends would also say that my faith, integrity, and genuine care for others guide everything I do, both personally and professionally. To me, success isn’t just about what I create, but how I make others feel along the way.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I’m gone, I hope people remember me for the way I carried myself- with kindness, integrity, and purpose. I want my story to be one of someone who put her heart into everything she did, especially her business, and who treated people with genuine care and respect. I hope they talk about how I made others feel seen, supported, and valued, and how my work brought joy and meaning to their lives. More than anything, I want to be remembered as a good person — someone who stayed true to her faith, her values, and her vision, and who used her gifts to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
