Meet 3 Money

Today we’d like to introduce you to 3 Money.

3, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My name is 3money, I’m an independent artist on the rise from Irving, Tx. I started making music 2014 with seeing my first bit of success when I dropped my first song on SoundCloud which was just a remix to Lil Durk’s “Chiraq”. While still being in College, I found it rather hard to juggle student loans and studio time while working a small paying part-time job. After some time, I made the decision I was going to invest in myself and create my own studio. After some trial and error, I started getting the hang of things and began engineering my own music. I then dropped my next single “Rain Is Pain” on YouTube in which saw even higher success, and even had the famous “Joe Yung Spike” fly out from Atlanta to shoot my next video. That then led me to dropping my first official project “I Am Gemini”, where it was then I started building a local buzz. I then proceeded to stay consistent in 2019 in which dropping a series of projects such as; (Oh Lord, 3res Dinero, Da Double Back, & the 3 Peat). I started working with Dallas P, another known act in Dallas, in which it led me into opening up for Mike Jones at Gilleys a couple of months back.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. School, bills, and life get tangled in and It gets frustrating at times, but patience is a virtue, right? For the most part I take every bump in the road as experience I know nothing worth having is easy to get.

3money – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
This year we had some plans at various music events in which got canceled due to COVID-19. April 20th, I then released my most recent project “Underdawg” which is available on all streaming platforms. I’m currently ready for venues to open back up in which I plan on performing my new single “Ms. Rita”, and the fan favorite “Thought It Was”!

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
So far…. probably opening up for Mike Jones.
