Hi Abigail, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Five years ago, I was simply someone with a big heart for creativity and making people feel special, but I didn’t yet know what that would turn into. I started Abbys Surprise from a place of curiosity and creating moments that made people smile, planning small events and learning along the way. What began as simple surprise setups and event decor/planning quickly grew as I started understanding how much emotion and detail go into making a moment unforgettable.
As time went on, my love for beauty and style found a new outlet through Abbys Luxury. I wanted to create something that represented confidence, elegance and personality. From bold fashion pieces to lifestyle products that make people feel their best.
Today, both brands reflect my journey, One focused on creating emotional experiences, and the other on empowering self-expression through fashion. It’s been a process of growth, faith and trusting that every step even the small ones was leading somewhere bigger.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In the beginning, I didn’t have much guidance or resources. I had to learn everything through trial and error. From finding clients to managing budgets and handling all the behind-the-scenes work on my own. There were moments I felt stuck or unsure if things would work out, but I kept pushing because I truly believed in what I was building.
Another challenge was balancing creativity with business. It’s one thing to have ideas, but turning them into something sustainable takes discipline and patience. There were slow seasons, mistakes and lessons, but each one helped me grow stronger and more focused. Looking back, I’m grateful for those challenges because they shaped both me and my brands into what they are today.

Abbys Surprise is all about creating unforgettable moments. We specialize in event decoration and planning, surprise setups, luxury hotel décor, weddings, corporate events, birthdays, proposals, anniversaries etc. Every detail is done with intention because we want people to feel seen, loved and celebrated. What sets us apart is the emotion behind our work. It’s not just about balloons or flowers, it’s about creating memories that people never forget.
Abbys Luxury, on the other hand, is a fashion brand built to inspire confidence and self-expression. From bold African bubu styles to chic ready-to-wear looks, the brand celebrates beauty, comfort and individuality. It’s for the modern woman who wants to look stylish without losing herself. We’re also expanding and introducing new pieces and ideas to make the brand even more versatile~ exploring everything from fashion accessories to creative style concepts that stand out.
Together, both brands represent creativity, celebration and luxury one through experiences and the other through fashion and self-expression.
What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, I’m really focused on growth and impact. For Abbys Surprise, I want to expand into larger-scale events and offer more luxury experience packages. Things that make people feel even more special and celebrated. I’m also planning to collaborate with hotels and venues to make surprise and decor setups easier and more accessible for clients.
For Abbys Luxury, I’m excited to grow our fashion line and introduce new collections that blend African-inspired pieces with modern style. I also plan to build a stronger online presence and eventually open a physical studio where clients can shop, create and connect with the brand in person.
Overall, my goal is to keep creating whether it’s through events or fashion and continue building brands that make people feel beautiful, valued and seen.
