Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Johnson.
Adrian, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
April makes are ten years. We’re excited. We started Keep It Klassy Models back ten years ago. How it started, well I need some models for a promotional outdoors event. My other business. However. I had four models and overpaid them by a lot it was told later. But wasn’t upset. I just didn’t know how much to pay them at that time. Business was really good. However, my old business partner suggested I get my own models. So we did. 40 young ladies came out to our casting call I took them all on board. So right after the casting call was over he models asked me what we have next. Well, I didn’t expect to hear that. I was going to just wait until I do another outdoors event later in the year. One model suggested we do a fashion show. So I was okay. Now let me remind you, I didn’t know anything about women fashion and didn’t really care.
However, I was a great event promoter/businessman. So as time went on for me to plan the show. I started getting lots of haters, telling me she’s not a model she’s to short she’s to fat. She doesn’t have that look. I ignored all that complaining mainly from other women. I told them well these are my models and this is my business I can do whatever I want with my business. So long story short I had to learn women and fashion industry fast. I did. A few months later, we did our very first fashion show in this old-style movie theater. We added some entertainment. Do you know our first fashion show had 1200 people in attendance. I was amazed. I was like wow. All these people come out to see a girl walk down a runway in some clothing. At that moment, I knew I was on to something. We made really good money for our first show. God gave was telling me something. So that’s how we started the company.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Fashion Industry is never a smooth ride. The struggles in this industry is people come and go way to fast. But we find away to keep on going.
Keep it Klassy Models Agency – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Keep it Klassy Models I’m the CEO of the company. I the brain behind everything we plan ever thing we do. We specialize in a lot in 2020 First fashion modeling to better equip our models. So everything involving the fashion industry. Lots of photo shoots. Now we added small business marketing doing unique photo shoot and or unique video shoots for advertisement. We are known for being totally different than other agency because we do our own productions pertaining fashion shows and etc.
As the owner of KIK models, I’m mostly proud of Keeping it classy with ever have to do anything of nudity or trash. ALL class. Also, I ‘m proud to see models we founded go on to do much greater things in the fashion industry. Lastly, what sets us apart is. We accept all women and we don’t do any nudity. and that we are an agency that does very creative shoots shows and etc. I can explain later.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Seeing a few of my models on television and in magazines along. Along with being known for have over 250 plus models in 10 major cites… This was not expected.
