Thanks for sharing your story with us Adriana. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
WOW, where do I even begin? In 2015, I decided to turn a dream into a reality. For a year I’d been going back and forth on the decision to create a blog. There were so many things that seemed to hold me back from actually going for it! This included but was not limited to time, resources and surprisingly as silly as it may sound – deciding on a blog name. Needless to say, I made it happen. Style Ageless was created as a New Years Resolution for the year 2015.
Four years later here we are. I’ve collaborated with over 20 brands, been invited to amazing events and released Style Ageless merch (styleageless.com/shop)! This year 1/5/2018 I was able to relaunch styleageless.com. With the support of my family, friends, and followers I successfully threw my first Style Ageless event in celebration of the relaunch. I was mindblown when Samsung reached out to sponsor the photobooth.
The past four years have been an eye-opening roller coaster. I’ve met so many talented and creative individuals through this Industry. I didn’t know ANYTHING about blogging or social media when I created Style Ageless, but I knew what I want and I went for it. That’s the thing about me – When I truly want something there is NOTHING that can stop me from accomplishing it.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There have been ups and downs. Like any craft, you need money, resources and time. It can become so frustrating when you have so many ideas but you simply can not implicate them without the help of someone else. I ran into this dilemma at the end of last year, 2018. So, I hired an Assistant! GAME CHANGER.
My Assistant, Christina has been so helpful. I can’t even begin to explain how much things have changed since she’s joined team Style Ageless. It still gives me butterflies to say that. If you would have asked me last year what I thought about hiring an assistant, I probably would have laughed.
But any dilemma faced along the way was definitely a learning experience. You just have to figure it out and keep pushing! Don’t be afraid to ask for help when needed. I have a motto that I do not reach out and ask for help until I have tried everything on my own! Google, Google, Google my friend is your best friend. Never forget that!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Style Ageless – what should we know?
Style Ageless is a personal style blog I started in college to showcase different looks at an affordable price for my fellow college fashionistas. Not only focusing on Style but also speaking to you about everyday topics. I wanted the voice of Style Ageless to be like going to talk to your Sister or Best Friend about everyday issues.
Dealing with anxiety and struggling with weight gain was something I wanted to be open and transparent about on my platform so that other girls knew they weren’t alone.
Style Ageless is a one-stop place where you can stop by and find great deals on clothing, encouraging words and more. I am as real and honest with my followers as possible because I don’t want them to just know Style Ageless but also the woman behind the blog, Adriana. Last year, I changed the blog to ‘Style Ageless, by Adriana’. This was to say hey there is a real girl behind the blog.
A woman who is all about empowering other women!
