Today we’d like to introduce you to Agata Rejterada.
Agata, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My husband and I are originally from Poland where I worked in the legal field. I always had a passion for art and photography but it wasn’t until I moved to the United States that I had the opportunity to turn those interests into a business.
I started in family photography, but quickly realized I was more drawn to creating digital art through the editing process. Because of this, I’ve found a niche in commercial headshots, creative portraits, and real estate photography.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When we first moved to the United States I didn’t know anyone, which left me without the connections that can be so important for a start-up. I was also building the business in my second language which has its own unique challenges! But I continued to work hard and as I met new friends and clients, their referrals led to more new friends and clients. Positive referrals and word-of-mouth is truly the backbone to 360 Studio Pro. I do my very best to ensure every customer has a great experience and images that exceeds their expectations. I’m not happy unless my clients are happy and because of that, I have many repeat customers.
While not necessarily a struggle, a challenge in the photography industry as a whole is how quickly it is evolving. New equipment and trends are constantly being introduced to the field, and I want to be on the forefront so I spend a lot of time mastering the techniques I think will be most relevant for my clients. Luckily, I love what I do so all of this isn’t work to me, but fun and exciting.
Please tell us about 360 Studio Pro.
My specialty is real estate photography. I love building relationships with agents and helping them create the perfect listing for a home. It doesn’t matter if it is a million-dollar house or a starter home, I take the same care to ensure each image is the highest quality. This attention to detail and focus on customer service has led me to work with some of the biggest real estate companies in the country. And while I started in Texas, my business has expanded so that I’m shooting across the country.
One of my proudest moments was the first time a magazine requested to use one of my images in their publication. Since then my photographs have appeared in other magazines and it is always a thrill to see my work in print.
My need for artistic expression is satisfied through my portrait business. I do business headshots for clients, but also take great joy in creating fun and whimsical portraits.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
When I was younger, I traveled a lot around Europe with my family and learned so much about different cultures. But the highlight was when my mom took me to the Louvre in Paris. That is when I fell in love with art and design.
