Akash, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
After getting my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, and marrying my high school sweetheart, I moved to the US in 1996. I had a successful and rewarding career of 18 years in consulting. I advised clients on Business Strategies, Mergers & Acquisitions, Innovative Technologies.
Being an entrepreneur at heart, I left the consulting world in 2014 to form Infinity Health Group, a company built on the mantra of disruptive innovation, patient care first and compliance. Infinity provides management services to DNA, Blood, and Urine Toxicology Labs, Neuromonitoring services, independent and specialty pharmacies, as well as durable medical equipment, and other healthcare related ancillary businesses.
North Dallas is booming with several Med Spa business and services. Serving as a provider for ancillary healthcare business to weight loss clinics and med spas, I realized that there is an opportunity to bridge the inconsistency between the services promised and delivered by them. Supervision from a certified medical professional in conjunction with med-spa is a great value-add for clients. I was keen to bridge this gap and quickly grab this opportunity to improve upon the model. A model which offers a consistent, customer-oriented service catering to complete well-being of patients under the supervision of a physician or a medical professional.
With this idea in mind, I started our first Slimming Studios in Plano, TX with my wife Dr. Nisha Jain as the physician providing care to patients. Encouraged by the results and feedback from our patients, we started our rapid expansion journey. As of April 2018, we have 6 locations in the Dallas Metroplex area, book and see over 1100 appointments a week, a 4.85-star rating on Groupon where we have been awarded the “Best of Groupon” category, and a rating of 4.7 on Facebook.
We have an exciting road in front of us. We recently launched Slimming Studio’s branded nutraceuticals, NGX in partnership with Strandz along with our own line of freshly prepared food in partnership with a local vendor, Wholesome Grub.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A smooth and straight road with no bends along the way is no fun 😊. We are committed to providing the best experience to our clients with measurable results. Every business faces a few operational issues from time to time. We face usual business challenges ranging from system breakdowns or delays in shipping of inventory to even a few employee issues. Having a strong management team, excellent clinical professionals and a happy staff makes it a breeze. We come together as a team to quickly resolve the issues. We are continuously improving, and working to satisfy our clients’ needs and meet their expectations.

We are a chain of weight loss clinics that specialize in non-invasive weight loss, body contouring procedures, and medical weight loss programs. We offer Low-Level Laser Lipolysis, Ultrasonic Cavitation, Radio Frequency, Cryo, Energy and Skinny Shots, Diet Plans, hCG Program, Phentermine and other Medical Weight Loss Programs. We use state of the art equipment to facilitate our services. We are one stop solution to our client’s weight loss vows.
What sets us apart is the availability of doctors in all our studios. Clients also have the option to avail provider consultation through our telemedicine platform. The idea is to ensure that any contra-indication to any of the services that a client is interested in, is addressed immediately to ensure safe procedures with no side effects.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Innovation and Excellence is key to our success. I sincerely believe that change is the only constant. Disruptive innovation is how some of the new business models in today’s environment have made some of the great companies obsolete.
I believe in challenging the status quo. Our business model is ever evolving, with our latest innovation being personalized meal prep based on the client’s DNA and how they react to certain food types.
