Today we’d like to introduce you to Alan De Leon.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Alan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My entrepreneurship journey started when I was nine years old. I wanted to get my first pair of Jordans, but I didn’t have the money and my Mom couldn’t buy them for me because she was a single immigrant mother working two jobs. Instead of sitting there crying over how I couldn’t get the shoes, I started thinking of how I can get money to buy them. What I started to do was go around our apartment and look for things we didn’t use anymore. Then, I was reselling everything and next thing you know, I had $120 to buy my new shoes.
Ever since I’ve loved the aspect of working hard. At the age of 16, I became even more aware of our financial situation and saw that my Mom could barely support my two little sisters and I. I decided to look for ways to make money and help my family out. At the time, I stumbled upon social media marketing and decided to learn everything I needed to know about it and start a business. Fast forward a year from then, I started (Lion Connected Marketing) in which I help business market on social media to get more customers. Throughout the age of 17 to now that I’m 19, I’ve gotten the opportunity to network and do business with so many people. At the moment, I am continuing to grow Lion Connected Marketing, and take a supplement line I am partnered up with (ASAP Supps) to the next level. Now, I am not a millionaire yet but my goal is to be financially free within a year from now.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth ride at all! Because of my family’s financial status, it was hard for me to focus my 100% on starting the business. Being in high school also was a big obstacle, I was trying to balance classwork, a job, and starting a business. I also knew nothing about starting a business because nobody in my family had ever done so. I was left to learn everything on my own.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Lion Connected Marketing – what should we know?
In my business Lion Connected Marketing, we focuses on introducing social media to businesses by running ads on Google and throughout social media platforms getting businesses more clients. We connect online users to businesses. We also create websites and do videography and photography for businesses. Another company in which I just became a partner of is ASAP supplements. It is a line of workout supplements, we produces clean products. Our products are scientifically formulated, give you no jitters or tingling, gives you a killer pump, focus Mood enhancer, and prolonged endurance.
