Meet Aleeyah Farquharson of TSCXAUNTY BAWDY PARLOUR

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aleeyah Farquharson.

Hi Aleeyah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always wanted to work with athletes so I got my first degree in sports management from THE TEXAS SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY and I’ve got some job experience in the field but somehow it just wasn’t enough for me, so I decided to do sports massage therapy & rehab. I enrolled in Parker University January 2020 and beginning of my 2nd semester the world took a turn that made it impossible to do both massage & anything sports-related. Nonetheless, I graduated from Parker university August 2020, but in October 2020 I took a class in body contouring and became a certified body contourist. I didn’t touch my first client till February 2021 when I got hired at Work Of Art Med Spa located now in the Galleria Mall Area. I’m so thankful for that place cause I’ve got to be a part of something that hasn’t crossed my mind because originally, I just wanted to work on healing athletes but now, I have an interest in both athletes & post-op. Now, I am a 3x Certified Body Contourist working for myself & building my brand as well as clientele. I would also like to add that during the pandemic when I felt that my massage career might not work out, I started handcrafting natural bath and bawdy products such as bawdy butter, bawdy oil, bubble bath, soap bars, makeup remover, etc. I use my products on my clients so it ended up being a very good addition.

TSCXAUNTY is actually an acronym – people always calling it TexasAunty smh lol but is actually T(Touch) which is the massage & body contouring/sculpting aspect of my business S(skin) which is the handcrafted bath & body products I make & sell and C(care) which is pretty much the expectation & experience you get – I want to show that we will take care of you! X (by) AUNTY which is myself for the time being but it will just be another name for family when I get a store front & employee.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t. When I first got certified I knew I wasn’t ready to just branch out into my own business, I had no job or money to get the supplies I needed to even get started so I literally got on Instagram and slid into all these companies in Dallas that offer body contouring services – I couldn’t do massages because I wasn’t yet licensed to do so, so I was fine with just doing body contouring which I needed the practice in anyways and I’ve gotten a lot of no’s but one (Work of Art Med Spa) came thru with a yes and I was hired and I got the practice & experience I needed. She then moved to another location and I was never called back so I was kinda forced to just start doing it myself because that became an inconvenience to me I’m an adult and still had shit to do so honestly one monkey wasn’t gonna stop no show but this time I’m much more confident in doing my own thing I have they experience, great reviews & the supplies I needed so yea I went for it but the problem was having a clientele and even today I’m still struggling with that but I know I’m doing my part and those clients will come. I am thankful for the loyal 3 clients I do have they come to me even if they don’t need it but it’s just to genuinely support me

Part of my struggle was also balancing my 9-5 that I was using to not only support my lifestyle but to fund my business – my 9-5 limited my availability to my potential clients and that would be an issue.

Another part of my struggle is also that I don’t have a storefront/suite while being mobile is convenient to most ppl it’s not like that for the other half that just don’t have the space or is still in post-pandemic mode or whatever their reasons are.

I’m still not where I want to be but I’ve come a long way so I have to give myself grace & a pat on the back for that and trust that I will soon enjoy the fruits of my labor.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I specialize in all things body from services to products I offer I wide range of services from body contouring/sculpting services, pre&post op care services as well as handcrafted bath & body products. New Services to soon come is Faja alterations, teeth whitening & gems application, and ice body sculpting.

I feel like being a Mobile body specialist is what separates me from most people or businesses in this industry; because we all offer the same services but who is actually coming to you to provide these services in your house or location of your choosing …yea nobody but me!
