Today we’d like to introduce you to Alejandro & Melissa Muñoz.
Hi Alejandro & Melissa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
We had a few thousand dollars in savings, we wanted to invest but didn’t know in what. So, in the meantime, we just kept saving up for our future. While my daughter sweet sixteen was in the planning for 2021 I reach out to an old friend from high school Cindy Prado since her spouse Jaime Prado is a business owner of Uptown Creative Studios photography. I ask them for a quote for pictures and Videos. When he reached out to me, he mentioned they also had a photobooth which I did not know about.
So, I booked one for my daughter.
After doing more research I reached out to Jaime Prado who introduced me to PBI owner Josh. During the meeting I called my wife telling her this is it, we found our business. So, we decided to finance 2 photobooths taking a big risk.
I remember I was so excited and nervous at the time I forgot to think about the transportation.
After networking I was introduced to corona entertainment, Av productions, luxury photobooth Dallas, and photos y Recuerdos. They are more than business partners, it’s more like a family. They have been in this industry for a long time knowing that I knew I was in pretty good hands. During this time, I noticed the demand for the photobooth was increasing, so my wife and I decided to purchase 2 more.
Which we included the latest LED 360 video photo booth in the market. We also added accessories like our premium floral walls and fun props.
Overall, we keep striving to provide the best luxury customer service for our clients and their guest. Making memories is what we do!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
My first year as a photo booth business owner was in March of 2022, I can honestly say I have learned quite a lot during my first year even though it hasn’t been easy. We had more than a few setbacks but we always keep pushing forwards during our business challenges.
One obstacle was learning darkroom software for the photobooth. Without this knowledge, it’s very difficult to run the photo booth.
The biggest challenge quality of the pictures. Coming from a technical field I had zero experience on this field. I had to learn how to set up camera settings and learn details.
There was one event my camera did not have a good focus so my pictures were not what my customer expected. We ended up returning half the payment to our customer. A feeling I do not want experience again because it’s our customer’s personal memories.
In conclusion, experiencing our setbacks gave us an opportunity to improve in every aspect which made us who we are today.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What set us apart is our detail to service customer. It’s a privilege and an honor for us to be part of an event. It could be a b-day party in the backyard, A private event, Quince, weddings the list can go on and on. We pride ourselves on providing the best customer service possible. We go above and beyond to try to accommodate our clients. Such as arriving super early to our events to prevent interruptions during ceremonies and guests. We are open to any time for our customer’s events and we are always thinking of how we can improve, I put myself in our customer’s shoes and try to visualize a perfect Photo Booth session because that’s where the most personal friends and family memories are made. We only have one opportunity to capture the moment. So that’s what sets us apart .
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I’m the oldest of my siblings. Growing we had to move to the US and leave 2 of my siblings behind, my dad only was making minimum wage I think I was like $7.50 an hour or something like that. So, I learn responsibility and hard work at a very young age. Coming here I was very curious and intrigued about how things work at a young age. Such as how far out can I get to turn on and off the TV with the remote control. Played super Mario a lot as a teenager. I loved video games. I also played baseball.
