Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Porras
Alex, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my barber career at Bonafide Barbershop in Dallas. After working there about 7 years, my wife and I decided to open up our own barbershop. We came across the Arcade Barbershop in Casa View that had been around since 1957 and met the owner who was ready for retirement and offered to sell it to us.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Thankfully, the transition from barber to barber and business owner has been smooth.

We are a traditional barbershop located in the Casa View Courtyard in East Dallas. I specialize in traditional men’s haircuts and beard shaping. Lindsey specializes in fades and mullets. Diego specializes in fades and shear cuts.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
We love White Rock Lake, the choices in food and neighborhood bars like Goodfriend Beer And Garden.
