Today, we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Crawford. Alexandra was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Joshua Haggerty.
Hi Alexandra, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
Having a boutique wasn’t always something I wanted to do. Real Estate has always been my joy. Working in corporate since I was 18, I was always the “fashionable” girl at work. I was the girl who always wore heels, dressed up every day because I felt like a real boss when I dressed the par. As I got older my clothing style completely changed. It became hard for me to find trendy pieces but also not overdone. In 2017 I told myself I wanted to start my own boutique that caters to sexy, classy, professionals. When we were quarantined, I started sewing because I knew I wanted to have exclusive pieces to offer to really show my style. After I started posting my work, I received so much positive feedback. I actually started making pieces for models and entertainers.
Please tell us more about your brand, Bams Closet
Bams Closet just isn’t a boutique, it’s a vibe. I love making women feel confident with what they’re wearing. Having a boutique and also making clothes lets me be as creative as I want, and I love that. When clients come in for fittings, I always make them feel like a celebrity. I want them to be comfortable with me. I do a lot of collaborations with models and photographers because although I love being paid what I’m worth, it’s not always monetary with me. Its ’s about the craft and everything that I put behind it. That’s what sets me apart from other boutiques or other designers. I think I’m the most proud of me actually doing it! Growing up I never saw myself being a designer. I never thought I would be able to sew a whole outfit in an hour! Lol. I’m just proud that I’ve found my purpose. Waking up every morning knowing that I have a goal to achieve, I have another opportunity to make someone fabulous!

Josh at Viralsitez is my guy! He’s been such a big supporter with my boutique. When I was getting ready to launch, I was looking for a developer for my website. Josh was my first choice! It was the best/easiest web design experience I’ve had. He was there every step of the way. In the middle of the night when I had questions he would respond quickly. If there was something I didn’t know how to do he would gladly assist in getting it done.
