Meet Alexis Earman of Wilmington, North Carolina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Earman.

Hi Alexis , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Woodbury Home began from a deep love for creating spaces that feel both beautiful and meaningful. What started as a personal passion for design quickly evolved into something more as I began sharing my work and connecting with others who were drawn to a similar aesthetic, timeless, elevated, and thoughtfully curated.

Over time, that passion grew into a full service design studio, working with clients across the country to transform their homes into spaces that feel refined yet livable. My approach blends European influence with organic textures, soft tones, and a sense of quiet luxury, creating homes that feel both effortless and deeply personal.

Today, The Woodbury Home continues to grow through both client work and a strong online presence, allowing me to reach and inspire a wider audience. Each project is rooted in intention, beauty, and the belief that home should be a place that truly reflects the life being lived within it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a completely smooth road, and I think that is true for anyone building something meaningful. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing growth with maintaining a very clear and intentional vision. As The Woodbury Home began to grow, there were more opportunities, more opinions, and more moving pieces, and it became important to stay grounded in what the brand truly stands for.

Another challenge has been building a business while also navigating life in a very real way, including motherhood and the day to day responsibilities that come with it. Learning how to manage time, energy, and expectations has been a constant process.

There have also been moments of navigating the technical side of the industry, working with contractors, managing communication across multiple teams, and ensuring that the design vision is carried through accurately. That has required setting clear boundaries, refining processes, and stepping confidently into a leadership role.

Each of these challenges has ultimately shaped the business into what it is today, allowing it to grow with more clarity, structure, and intention.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the founder and lead designer of The Woodbury Home, a design studio focused on creating refined, timeless interiors that feel both elevated and deeply livable. My work blends European influence with organic textures, soft tones, and thoughtful details, resulting in spaces that feel calm, intentional, and quietly luxurious.

I specialize in both full service virtual design and hybrid design, which allows me to work with clients across the country while still offering a more hands on, in person experience when needed. Each project includes custom layouts, material selections, and photorealistic 3D renderings, ensuring that every detail is clearly envisioned before it is brought to life.

I am known for creating spaces that feel layered and collected rather than overly designed, with a strong emphasis on natural materials, subtle contrast, and architectural interest. I care deeply about how a space feels just as much as how it looks, which is something that consistently resonates with my clients and audience.

What I am most proud of is building a brand that has a clear and recognizable point of view while still feeling personal and approachable. What sets my work apart is the balance between artistry and structure, combining a strong creative vision with a thoughtful and organized process that allows clients to feel confident and supported throughout the entire experience.

What’s next?
Looking ahead, I am focused on continuing to grow The Woodbury Home in a way that feels both intentional and aligned with the heart of the brand. That means expanding both our virtual and hybrid design services, allowing us to take on larger scale projects while still working with clients across the country in a thoughtful and personal way.

I am also excited about continuing to build a strong presence online, not just to grow the business, but to inspire and connect with a wider audience through design. Sharing the process, the details, and the story behind each space is something I care deeply about.

In the future, I would love to expand into product design and curated collections that reflect The Woodbury Home aesthetic, bringing the brand into more tangible, everyday pieces.

Overall, my focus is on thoughtful growth, refining our processes, and continuing to create spaces that feel timeless, elevated, and deeply personal for every client we work with.
