Alexis, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for makeup because of its captivating and transformative powers. Wearing makeup for dance recitals and cheer competitions as a young girl made me feel so special and beautiful. During high school, I began to use makeup as a creative outlet and practiced my makeup application skills on my friends and family.
I continued to work on my craft in college as the go to makeup artist for my sorority sisters and I’ve had the pleasure to do the makeup at their weddings! I decided to turn my passion into a business and Alexis Jane Makeup was born. I want to bring completely customized makeovers to the women in Dallas/Fort Worth so they can look beautiful and feel confident at special occasions. I truly believe makeup should be used to enhance facial features and highlight natural beauty. I pride myself on prioritizing my client’s desires to ensure I create a makeup look that is gorgeous, long-lasting and appropriate for the event. Each client is a part of my story and touches me beyond the makeup appointment. I feel so honored that women choose me to be a part of their most important life events.
Has it been a smooth road?
As with any new endeavor, there are always challenges and roadblocks. That’s just part of life. However, I have found the obstacles I faced launching Alexis Jane Makeup have taught me more about myself and the goals I have for my company and my growing clientele. My ultimate goal is to instill confidence, enhance inner beauty, and help each person shine from the inside out once they leave my makeup chair. Makeup is such a great tool to help women feel like they can take on the world. Even though makeup is not a necessity, a little confidence boost never hurts! Overall, personal and professional growth cannot happen without struggles and trials. I have learned to embrace them with open arms and a makeup brush in hand!

I am an on-location makeup artist. I provide makeup services for wedding bridal parties, special events, photoshoots and individual makeup lessons. My passion is creating a customized look for each and every client. I specialize in ensuring that each makeup application matches my client’s style. I guarantee a flawless and glowing complexion with as much drama on the eyes and lips as desired!
I am so proud of Alexis Jane Makeup because it is a dream come true for me. I have always wanted to use my creativity for a bigger purpose. I know deep in my soul that makeup can help inspire women to reach their full potential and be a catalyst to let their inner beauty shine. I truly care for my clients and want to make sure they are 100% satisfied. It touches my heart knowing that women will cherish the memories, pictures and videos from their special day after having their makeup done by me.

Our city is a great place for anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit. As for a makeup artist, the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex has highly sought-after locations for weddings and a plethora of venues. I think no matter your location if you believe in yourself, have a passion for what you do, get connected in your industry, and work hard; then nothing can stop you from being successful.
