Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Wilson.
Alicia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
TwinNation started back in 2015. We started out as a custom t-shirt company. Then, slowly started doing natural bathroom products and eventually doing what we’re known for natural hair products. I started to really look into natural hair products when I started my Locs two years ago. But I really started to invest into it when I met Miss Eve, my downstairs neighbor. She was a loctician and we got to talking and that’s how the emerald dream hair grease (Hair crack) was developed.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it really hasn’t been a smooth ride. Because I think I jump head-first into the business world being so excited. Lol. I really had to master my craft especially when it came to natural hair products. I went deeper into researching and learning about hair products so I can go out there and tell the world. There were a lot of trials and errors but I wouldn’t change my process for anybody! I think the rough road from wanting to do it then not wanting to do it makes my story special to me. Because I will always remember the struggles and I also appreciate every single victory I have.

TwinNation is a custom shop. We made a custom t-shirt. We make natural bath bombs that have no citric acid. We use cream of tartar that is way better for gentle skin. We make body oil pure which I am really proud of the emerald dream body oil. I have eczema and I’ve been able to go three years without a major break out because of that oil. And plus, I can also use that on my hair.
The one product that I am really happy about is the emerald dream hair grease. The world knows it for Hair Crack! We got their crack to grow your edges back! The reason why I’m so proud of this Friday against because it’s helping so many women gain their confidence back with their hair. Is showing them that there is a product out there just for them that will help grow it develop it and make it stronger. The Hair Crack is basically a protein shake for your hair.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I actually have three. The day I got to see my companies name on Dre Dillard’s City Limits bodybuilding competition was amazing. Because she’s one of the first people they actually gave me a shot and believed in me. The second one is when I got to see my hair product and Ms. Eve shop Happy Napzz in fort Worth. The third and final is when I got to go to Louisiana pop in Winnifleld and sold out of product quickly! Plus, my mom got to see all of it and my dad, the most amazing man I’ve ever known!
