Today we’d like to introduce you to Alona Bennett.
Hi Alona, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Alona Bennett is a singer, songwriter, actress, and multi-disciplinary artist from Dallas, Texas. Known for her soul-stirring vocals, raw storytelling, and unstoppable drive, Alona has quickly become one of Texas’ most promising rising talents. Her music and artistry have appeared in film projects including The Golden Voices and No Easy Way Out, and her original song was featured in the movie Step Dad, written by Sean Hunt. Her work has also earned co-signs from influential artists and producers such as Muni Long, Timbaland, Hitmaka, Fridayy, and others across the industry.
Alona’s creative journey began long before any spotlight. She grew up writing songs and speaking her future into existence, often telling friends in middle and high school to save her autograph because she would be famous one day. She didn’t know the path yet, but she always knew the destination.
That path became clearer during college, where she attended on a basketball scholarship. In the middle of the season, she says God told her to walk away—a decision she initially resisted. Quitting meant her scholarship wouldn’t carry into the next semester, and she faced losing her place in school. She spent every day and night in the computer lab applying for scholarships while maintaining a 4.0 GPA, even as she watched her former teammates continue practicing. The weight was heavy, but her faith held steady.
During a holiday break, she felt led to check the mail—and found a letter awarding her a Frito Lay scholarship, enough to cover the remainder of her balance. That moment confirmed her faith, and from then on, she committed to listening to God the first time.
That break also marked the beginning of her music journey. Sitting in her parents’ kitchen, a beat appeared on YouTube and she wrote “Hope That It’s You.” The song felt different—raw, emotional, and born from heartbreak. She recorded it along with “Heart My Broken Heart” and “No Photos,” and though fear almost kept her from releasing them, she says God told her to put them out. She uploaded the songs on all platforms and filmed the “Hope That It’s You” music video, directed by Sykia Bates of SykiaStudios.
Everything shifted from there.
While working at Sally’s Beauty and with very little money, Alona hustled day and night—driving between Marshall and Dallas on school nights just to make it to class. Soon, the school’s staff and students realized the songs playing at basketball games were hers. Her online presence began to rise as her covers went viral on Instagram and TikTok, including renditions of “Hrs and Hrs” by Muni Long, “FNF” by GloRilla, and more. She wasn’t chasing virality—she was simply singing and being authentic.
Alona continued releasing original music, launched her fan-favorite Song Title Saturdays on YouTube (returning in 2026), and stepped deeper into acting. She moved forward with full faith, pursuing every door God opened, even when fear was present.
Today, Alona is developing new creative ventures including sync placements for film and television, writing for other artists, releasing more of her own projects, and building the foundation for her long-term goal: opening her own film studio in Dallas, Texas.
Bold, faith-driven, and unstoppable, Alona Bennett is an artist to watch—an emerging voice defined by purpose, resilience, and divine timing.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My struggles were knowing people at the time now I know everybody but who do I find that can help me push whatever idea I had at the time and execute it. My problem was I didn’t want to do anything alone
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in songwriting, voca arrangement and composing. I’m known for opening up for a sold out Many Wells concert and being on hitmaka’s list of artist to fly out to Atlanta for music opportunities, viral videos like my viral video Hrs and Hrs by muli long , Glorillas FNF , Outlaws by Rick Ross and Jazmine Sullivan and more. Known as the first who sings on tiktok and Instagram. I’m most proud of getting my music into movies that is one of the accomplishments that still make me proud til this day. I love film and music so I always wanted to do both. What sets me apart from other artist is I work hard and I think there something unique about the voice that people just get drawn to or like.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
More projects next year as well as more movies I have two movies I’ve already been casted in for next year so I’m excited and just more fun …. P.s song title Saturdays are coming back
