Meet Amaya Mignault Rojas of Mortgage Financial Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amaya Mignault Rojas.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Amaya. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My biggest joy in life is my family. I feel very blessed! I am married to my best friend, and my son is my miracle! I have one son; he is 21 and has already authored 3 books and owns his own company. I am very proud of my husband and my son for all their wonderful accomplishments! My family is my rock! To top it all off, I love where I work, and I am surrounded with wonderful people at all times!

Early in my career, I started working at a bank and loved helping people with opening their accounts. More than anything, I love the feeling when people appreciate my help. It was a great feeling when someone would say to me, “Thank you for going out of your way for me.” It became a routine, and I love when people would come and ask for me personally. They did not want anyone else to help them, regardless if I was busy with other clients; they would wait for me. I treated people exactly how I wanted to be treated.

I left the traditional retail bank to work for a bank that focused primarily on mortgage loans. I loved this job! Helping people buying a home is a huge satisfaction. Buying a home is a dream come true for everyone… even me. I work for Mortgage Financial Services, a company that helped my dream of buying a home come true.

Now I get to do the same thing for others. I work with a wonderful team. Our senior lender is Pandian Kumar, and I work under Team Pandian. I started a business to business event group that focuses on helping people. People helping each other!

Everyone that goes to this event has a chance to talk about their business, services they have to offer, some just looking for a job, some that just want answers to a situation, or some that just want to share productive information or ideas. Everyone’s voice is important, and we all want to know what they have to say.

The main idea I develop in these events is that if we unite and help each other, we all win! Unity is strength! It is a group that we all care for each other, and we endeavor to use each other services! All this is also possible with the help of my friend, Pandian Kumar and Mortgage Financial Services.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Many struggles, but it has made me and my family stronger and brought us closer together. Before working in the bank my husband and I opened 4 businesses. We were very entrepreneurial. We sold everything in Houston and moved to Florida. Then, we opened a distribution company for Breyers & Good Humor Ice cream. After a few years, we sold the distribution company and opened a hockey Pro Shop.

During that time, I got into photography and started taking hockey action photos of the youth players during games. This led me to start yet another business named Memories4U. The 4th business we opened was an ice rink in Orlando, USA On Ice. That was a dream come true because my son had been playing ice hockey since he was 5 years old. Ice and hockey run in my husband and my son’s blood, and I was a hockey and goalie Mom.

USA On Ice was our business and where I homeschooled my son. It seemed like he did his homework and studied while skating on the ice. My son was in Heaven; this is all he did, Eat-Sleep-Ice Skate! Unfortunately, the economy bottomed out, and this dream came to an end. We moved back to Dallas and had to rebuild which took us 10 years. We lost everything with the ice rink. Even though we lost everything, there was still so much to be grateful for.

We also learned so much when it came to owning your own business. It’s all about the way you handle obstacles, changes and curve balls life throws at you. We were so grateful just to be together. What really mattered was that we were together and in good health.

My son kept playing ice hockey in Dallas, and in his senior year, he received Goalie of the Year in Dallas. He was also recognized during a Dallas Stars game. How Awesome is that?

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Mortgage Financial Services – what should we know?
I am blessed to work for Mortgage Financial Services. Our company has just received the #1 ranked mortgage company in the nation for outstanding customer service. Inc. 5000 has also ranked Mortgage Financial Services, for the 3rd consecutive year, as one of the fastest growing mortgage companies in the nation. I have a fabulous job at Mortgage Financial Services. I am the relationship manager and rainmaker for our Dream Team Pandian!

I assist with the social media; I am also bilingual, so I help our Spanish speaking customers. Team Pandian focuses on helping dreams come true. We help people get approved for mortgage loans to buy their dream home. When it comes to my work, I am very passionate about it. It is a very fulfilling job. I can’t explain the satisfaction that we get as a team when someone closes on their home and become homeowners.

We consistently receive 5-star reviews because we do our job with passion. It takes a very special team to do this; one person cannot do it alone. I love coming to work because I work with a great company and an awesome team that makes dreams come true! There are two Vice-Presidents in the company that are very special to me, and I am very thankful to them as they have treated me in a very special manner. Thank you, Debbie Wooten and Julie Wallace. I also want to thank Pandian Kumar for making our place of work a happy one.

I also have to thank my buddy Debbie Hodges who is always there to lend a helping hand. And there’s Marla! She always greets us with a smile and her attitude and spirit is full of positive enegy. The company is packed with extraordinary people, and I just can’t mention them all. It took some strife and struggles to get here, but I believe I finally found a team where I belong.

This team really cares and wants to help people. It is wonderful because we get to help so many people. I have people always reaching out to me for help and guidance. We try to help everyone. We even help people when they are not able or ready to buy, so we put them on an action plan. We offer them hope and advise them what they need to do to get ready so one day they may buy a home!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Absolutely and that quality is passion. I am passionate about helping people. I truly care. I listen and care about what they have to say. I go out of my way to help. It is something inside of me that I can’t explain. I wish I could help everyone in need. I treat people with respect and make them feel special. I don’t look down on anyone.

I treat people the way I would like to be treated. I feel that I am a very kind person. I am loyal and thankful for those that have helped me along the way. More than anything, I am a very simple and humble person. I am grateful all the time. I have good energy because I prefer to be happy rather than unhappy. I love positive energy!
