Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Nickerson and Lonnie Cooper.
Lonnie and Amber have been best friends since high school we started dating in 2018 after we realized we felt more for each other than just friendship. Shortly after dating, we realized how lit your relationship was it was the same as we were as best friends, but now we get to kiss! 🙂 We have so much fun together from traveling, drinking and going out, to trying new restaurants and attending church. We post a lot of the things we’re doing on our social media platforms. Our closest friends and family get to see us doing the outrageous things we do together. From there, we received a lot of messages saying that we were “Relationship Goals”, “So Funny Together”, or that “Ya’ll should start a YouTube Channel”. We began thinking about what it would be like to post videos on YouTube. Then, we found ourselves creating a channel name, buying filming equipment and not too long after posting our first video on our channel.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We are a fairly new channel so we haven’t come across too many obstacles but starting our channel was not easy. We are both college students that work full-time jobs so finding time to actually film can be difficult. Filming can take up to 2 hours for most videos and don’t get us started on editing that seems to take FOREVER. We want to post one video every week but our work and school time constraints can be tough to meet that expectation. No matter what we still try our best to film, record, and edit videos in a timely manner. Another obstacle I would say is support. We appreciate our friends and family that share our links and watch our videos but surprisingly if you look at our views, shares, likes, and subscribers the numbers don’t match up to the number of people who claim they support us. We show mad love and support to all of our friends in their endeavors but it stinks not to get the same in return. Nonetheless, we rocking no matter what. Low views or lack of support isn’t going to stop us from YouTubing. YouTube is so fun for us that even if only our parents watched we’d still post.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with L-A Vibes – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Our YouTube channel is a couple’s channel where we post weekly videos doing… couple stuff. We are most known for is our food-related videos. Our first video taste-testing Burger King’s $1 tacos was a hit. We’ve also posted a Chick-Fil-A Mukbang video where we settle the Popeyes vs. Chick-Fil-A beef. Our next food venture is a segment called “Cooking with the Coopers” where we’ll be filming us cooking some crazy recipes. Our first Cooking with the Coopers video will be posted later this month where we make Hot Cheeto Fried Chicken Wings. Other than just food videos we post Q&As, Vlogs, challenges, and pranks. We know there are thousands of different couples that post on YouTube but what sets us apart is that we have years and years of real genuine chemistry that can be seen through our videos. You can see that our friendship with one another holds more weight than our relationship because we are best friends before anything else and that we just have pure fun together no matter what we’re doing. Also, we’re from Dallas and we have yet to come across a YouTube couple from Dallas.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In the future, we are looking forward to using our channel as a way to share our future memories. Such as trips, engagement, our wedding, and possible pregnancy journey. Where our viewers can share in our special moments with us. Also, we want to be able to have those tough discussions on sensitive topics or situations on camera for our subscribers to be able to relate to things we are dealing with. Another big plan we have for the future with our channel is to be a platform for friends and subscribers to join us in a video about once a month in order to promote their businesses, products, or talents.
