Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Evans.
James spent the last 24 years in the heating and air conditioning field and Amy worked for State Farm Insurance for 20 years. Opening a Board & Brush studio helped fulfill Amy’s creative side! They are still in the studio every night meeting new people and forming lifelong relationships as well as helping people create wonderful décor for their home! Their family has lived in the Mansfield area for over 20 years.
Their children grew up here and their youngest still lives in Mansfield and works at the studio!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Opening your own business is fun and challenging. Learning everything the state, government and cities require of each business has been a struggle but we have come through with no real pain.
Board & Brush Creative Studio – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are your place to build on-trend, farmhouse-classic, inspirational pieces of décor for your home, office, cabin, lake house, or ranch.
Our studios offer a vintage, timeless look with accents of black and weathered wood to help cultivate your inner DIY design skills. And each hands-on wood sign workshop teaches you the techniques needed to create a custom piece that looks professionally made.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
There have been so many moments we are inspired by and thrive on it is hard to pinpoint one moment. We meet the most amazing people everyday whether it be a teacher, an employee or people wanting to know more about what we do.
