Meet Ana Lim of Nifft in Denton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Lim.

Ana, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started out by selling online years ago when I was first living in Waco, throughout the years I moved to the DFW area and have now settled down in Denton. That is when I decided to take it a step further by opening up a brick and mortar.

Has it been a smooth road?
I don’t think there has been one single person who has opened up any kind of business that would say it has been a smooth road, though if I’m wrong, quote me to it. The hardest part is simply having the courage to say, I’m going to do it and taking those thoughts and words and actually taking that action.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Nifft – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am the Executive Director of Nifft. What does that all entail? This is a family business after all where my husband and I both founded the company. My husband does more of the technical backhand stuff as I am the creator of Nifft. Nifft is best known to be a resale shop where you can find new, secondhand, and vintage pieces. Pieces can be anything from clothing to accessories and a few household items.

I am proud of the overall outlook of Nifft, it is catered to anyone whom may be into vintage or not, can be into sustainability but also affordable items, not all of us can afford a Versace dress brand new out of the rack but can find one here at half the cost and new with tags, those are the things that make Nifft what it is. We don’t focus too much on brand per se but we do make sure that the quality comes first.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I am originally from Ennis, Texas which if you don’t know is about 30 to 40 minutes south of Dallas with a small population that is gradually growing, so I’d like to say that I grew up in the DFW because it was an often drive I would take. Though living in different cities and moving to different states and visiting different countries, I will always come back to the DFW, it feels like home no matter where I go.
