Today we’d like to introduce you to Andre Campbell.
DJ Andre’s Entertainment career began in Miami, Florida where he and a group of friends “Metrix Sound All Stars” began playing music at underground warehouse parties, radio stations, and clubs. These opportunities allowed this young creative team of entertainers to become widely recognized in their South Florida Market. Their ability to fuse multiple American and Caribbean Genres were praised by fans of all ages.
While attending College in Miami and Gainesville Florida DJ Andre continued spinning music at local college parties for student organizations i.e. (UM, FIU, UF, FSU, etc) as well as prestigious night clubs on South Beach, Coconut Grove, and Ft. Lauderdale. His love for entertaining people thru music eventually lead him to want to pursue DJing and music production as a full time career.
Today, DJ Andre resides in Dallas Texas, and is the president of Great Music and Games llc in the Dallas/Ft. worth Areas. His willingness to go the extra mile to ensure quality, satisfaction, and a great time for his clients has enabled him to continue building his company in this great city, while inspiring rising talent to be their best.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Throughout his career DJ Andre has had his share of ups and downs. Building a dream from scratch is not an easy task, there are many sacrifices that must be made to allow yourself and business the opportunity to grow. Coming from a background where start-up capital was not readily available he learned to use his hands and imagination to achieve his goals for business growth. From building homemade speaker and record boxes to playing free at parties and special events for promotional gains, DJ Andre has encountered the best and the worst people the music industry has to offer.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Great Music and Games – what should we know?
Great Music and Games LLC is an entertainment company centered around its DJ and Games services. We provide mobile entertainment packages for all ages. Some of our products include….DJ, Karaoke, Cosmic Bingo (Glow in the Dark), as well as Poolside and Field Games for summertime fun.
At Great Music and Games we are proud of our satisfaction ratings by our customers. We will continue to grow by earning the trust of industry colleagues and clients by contributing great music energy and positive memories at their events.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
DJ Andre Campbell has always had an outgoing personality. Growing up as the first child of 4 boys he was always a self-starter/teacher for his brothers and friends. If he noticed something interesting and wanted to acquire it he would assert himself without hesitation. The phrase you win some and you lose some applied to him on a regular occurrence.
Andre is a first generation American born child of Jamaican parents, His parents nurtured their children to become the best they wanted to be, thru schooled education and life experiences. While he didn’t have the luxury of material thing as a youth he did have the support and drive of a very tight knit family/relatives who all worked together to help family and friends achieve greatness. In his mind that is the true Blessing!
