

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andres Soto.
Andres, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started working in the supplements business at the age of 18. Mike Mummert saw me working out at the gym and offered me a part time job at a local supplement store he managed. After a few months of working alongside him he asked me if I would help him start his own franchise. I said yes right away and that’s where the idea of Shredded Supplements began. After working next to Mike for 3 years I had the confidence and knowledge I needed to finally open my own supplement store business. At the age of 21 I started my own franchise with my cousin Esteban and we named it Ideal Nutrition. Out of all the stores I manager over the years Ideal Nutrition did the best. After 3 years in business I felt like my cousin and I just weren’t on the same page anymore business wise. I wanted to start investing into the online side of the supplement business, open more stores, make them look more modern but he didn’t share that vision.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The only struggles I have ever had was not seeing eye to eye with my business partner at Ideal. Not sharing the same vision or passion. But now at Any Body Supplements that problems is gone. Nino and I share the same passion and vision on the business. We know what we can do together in this industry and were showing it everyday.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Any Body Supplements – what should we know?
We are a supplement store so we help people achieve their fitness goals through supplementation. We have a customer service first mentality so we go above and beyond to make sure our customers are happy and we don’t put profits over their results.
A lot of supplement stores have their own brand in the store. Which usually means that’s what they try to sell the customer. We only carry third party products meaning we don’t try to push certain brands on the customer, we recommend whatever we think will help them achieve their goals faster.
I think there’s a lot of things that set us apart but providing free information is deff one of them. We do supplement review videos on YouTube so the customer always knows exactly what they are getting. We provide free workout plans and diet advice for anyone that asks. A lot of stores charge for things like that but we feel like if we give the customer results we can build a long term relationship.

Mike Mummert is the reason I am where I am right now. He is the person that gave me my first job in the business and later on the person that trusted me to scale his franchise. If it wasn’t for him I don’t know if I would even be in the supplement business.
