Meet Angela Dave of Naturally Unlimited

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Dave.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m the creator, designer, and founder of Naturally Unlimited! I believe we should be able to be who we are, naturally and without limits! I’ve always dreamed of being a fashion designer! It all started at the mall. When I tried on a really cute running hat… and once again my hair was too big! I knew it would never stay on!

I put it back on the shelf and walked out of the store. Something came alive in me, and I decided that I was gonna make hats for people with big hair! It took a year and a half long process of trial and error for me to find what I had pictured in my mind! I knew nothing about business or how to start a business! All I knew was that I was finally moving from just dreaming into taking action!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting your own business is one of the hardest things to do! You have to be willing to put yourself out there and make tons of mistakes! Be willing to fail and fail and try again! Don’t give up on your dream! It took me almost two years to find a manufacturer that believed in me. And one that is based out of the U.S. It’s so important to me that labor would be paid fairly!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Naturally Unlimited – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Naturally Unlimited. Be without limits. Be you naturally. Hats are only the beginning to a line that breaks the norm and embraces diversity! I’m proud of my brand because it’s something that’s innovative and needed! I believe in my products! I’m most proud that a portion of the proceeds are given to an organization that fights sex-trafficking and provides safe houses.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I hope to expand to a full clothing line! A line of clothing you can wear to any occasion that is practical yet elegant! Unique and creative designs you won’t see anywhere else! All designed by me and the visions I see of the kind of original apparel I want to create!
