Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Pozniak.
Angela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am originally from Dallas, TX, Oak Cliff to be specific, I was raised by my mother, Elsie Crabtree, and I have four sisters: Makeba Crabtree, Tiffany Law, Jasmine Crabtree Jacobs, and Traesi Smith. I attended Lisbon Elementary, Sarah Zumwalt Middle School, and Skyline High School. I left home at 18 to join the military so I could pay for school. I completed seven years in the military and attended college once my military contract ended. I have an undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and an MBA with a minor in cybersecurity from Texas A&M University-Commerce. My previous work experience includes being a Software Engineer, Engineering Manager, and Technical Product Manager, I worked in corporate for several years while going to school, and I was part of the mass layoffs in 2024. After that, I decided I didn’t want to go back to the corporate world. Instead, I started taking my passion for acting and content creation seriously, and it has been the most liberating thing that I’ve ever done in my life. It feels really good to live in my truth.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest struggle for me has been letting go of my comfortability. I was comfortable working a 9-5, not really being seen and flying under the radar, something that used to scare me was being seen and judged, but I had to remind myself that people are going to judge you either way, so just do you, time is going to pass either way, so you might as well do what you love. I also struggle with the fact that my mom isn’t physically here to see my wins on screen. She is a very creative individual, and I talk about her in the present because I believe in the First Law of Thermodynamics. I get a lot of my gifts, ideas, and talents from my mother, and I know she is proud!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an actress, content creator, and U.S. Navy veteran. I specialize in film, television, and voiceover work, with a passion for bringing emotionally complex, resilient, and relatable characters to life. I also create content around fitness, motherhood, and my journey as an actress, sharing the real, unfiltered side of pursuing your dreams. What sets me apart is the combination of my discipline, creativity, and life experience. I can bring authority and emotional depth to a role, but I also have a natural comedic presence. I am known for being authentic, hardworking, and willing to show up as my full self. I believe my ability to connect with people through both my acting and content creation is what makes my work meaningful.
Any big plans?
I would love to become a director, writer, and producer in the near future. I find just as much joy behind the camera as I do in front of it, and I really love bringing ideas to life. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow as an actress while expanding into storytelling and creating my own projects. I want to be able to create opportunities not only for myself, but for other talented people who deserve to have their stories told.
