Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelica Cantu.
Hi Angelica , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Angelica’s Creations was Launched in 2016, what started off as a hobby doing small crafts, t-shirts, party decor here, and there I loved it so much that I proudly turned it into my full-time business. I dove headfirst not knowing what to expect. While balancing life as a stay-at-home mom to my two daughters at the time. I had a natural flair for crafting, and DIY projects, I was always the creative one in my family. Over the years, my work has evolved to include unique, custom embroidery, and other creations that hold special meaning to my customers. Despite the uncertainties that come with starting a business, I persevered. As the years passed, I built a loyal customer base, invested in advanced machinery, and my passion for what I do flourished. Fast forward to 2025, I’m still dedicated & continue to run my business full-time. I have also begun to coordinate events and have hosted various vendor markets while also embracing life as a stay-at-home mom to three daughters now. I cherish the relationships I’ve formed with my customers and take pride in all the pieces I’ve created for them. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support from my followers, customers, and family. They have all been huge supporters and play a huge part in the successfulness of my business. From the likes, to shares, telling others about me to where I hardly have to do the marketing anymore for myself, I have a huge village now that does it for me, and I couldn’t be more thankful for it all.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s definitely been a roller coaster over the years. I can’t say it’s been easy, running your own business is never as easy as it looks. I’ve had many mental breakdowns, or just wanting to throw in the towel. You have to find your niche, I used to think I couldn’t do it, because someone else is doing it. It didn’t take long for me to overcome that phase because my business was my passion. Someone else may do it too, but they can’t do it like you do it. Everyone has their own special way of doing their own thing. I don’t see anyone as competition, because there is so much in this world to go around. You may think the market is saturated, and if that’s the case you have to find a way to stand out, I would always ask myself how I can be different, how can my products be different, and stand out. I still run into struggles, coming out of my shell and learning to not be so camera shy, making that content. I will soon overcome.
We’ve been impressed with Angelica’s Creations, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I would say I specialize in embroidery, custom sweatshirts, logo sweatshirts, baby keepsakes, or embroidered hats. One thing about me, is if I don’t love it, I’m not delivering it to my customers. I am a strong believer in quality over quantity. It has to be perfect before it leaves my hands. That’s my brand-my name people are walking around with. I have to make sure we both look good. 🙂 I am proud of how far my business has come, how much it has grown over the years all thanks to all my supporters. I want people to know I do a little happy dance when I get a new order, you guys are making my dreams come true, blessing my family. This is my full-time job. I get so excited working with new people, being able to bring their vision to life. I want them to know I will take care of them; they will walk away with something they love. I’m based in the Arlington area, but I also ship worldwide in the US. If you need custom merch to promote your business, I am your one stop shop.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
The list could go on, my business wouldn’t be where it is at now if it wasn’t for my amazing customers, my following, friends and family. I have to definitely shout out my 3 daughters sometimes they are helping pack orders; they hype me up and tell me everything looks perfect. My husband, my rock when I feel I am falling apart or when I have just become overwhelmed, he’s there making sure I take time, and care of myself first. He listens to all my new ideas, and the muscle behind my business, he builds new displays for me, anything I need he’s there. My mom works with me behind the scenes, helps push big orders out, cheers me on, goes with me to my vendor markets, and is such a big help there too, some would say we were sisters. I couldn’t thank her enough for her support. I definitely have a village behind my business, that I am so grateful for.
