Meet Angie Rossi of North Richland hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Rossi.

Hi Angie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I moved to Texas in 2015 and was welcomed onto the board of what it was at the time the battered women’s foundation as a survivor of domestic violence for many years as well as had been a career paramedic. I took over in 2021 when a dear friend, who is also the executive Director passed away. I then became the executive director and Dianne Tovey became our president shortly thereafter we decided that we wanted to have a new start and give our clients and their children, dignity and resilience and along the story of the cocoon turning into the wonderful butterfly we decided in 2023 to change her name to wings of a butterfly shortly there after Dianne had passed away, and I became president and CEO of the organization. It has been a very long and difficult road but I’m so glad and blessed to be where I’m at.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There is no smooth roads along the way we all have struggles and it hasn’t been easy but we continue to make it and thrive and survive and that’s all I can thank the Lord for

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Nonprofit 501(c)(3) for domestic violence as well as families in need transitional housing for domestic violence, survivors, and most recently seniors. I also do bookkeeping and business consultation, work as well as several small hobbies I run and manage for crafts, lawn, and land care, cleaning and organizing, etc..

Who else deserves credit in your story?
There have been many people along the way that I will not name due to the nature of how I persevered and became who I am what I am and what I do today people that deserve credit aren’t always because they did something good for you or they supported you there’s people in situations in your life that could mold you and push you to have what you seek in life, but it doesn’t deserve to be named out in credit because it wasn’t all positive or any positive in many situations to succeed and get to where I am and where I want to be today
