Anjanette, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Ever since I was a child, my passion has always been fashion. I would dress up my dolls in cute outfits, making sure they were always dressed nicely. As I got older, I styled friends and family for special occasions. The joy I have while styling someone makes me feel good. Then, I would encourage my friends and family to wear what they like and rock it! I knew this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. My mom and dad were able to send me off to college and that is when I started to draw my styles on paper. I remember sitting in my dorm room, drawing out my outfits for school and will create the style the next morning, using pieces from my closet. After a while, I thought to myself, what can I name these styles I am creating if I was to ever start a business? I wanted my brand name to be something personal and that represents my style. That is when I decided to combine my first name, Anjanette and middle name, Chantel, to come up with ANJTELSTYLES.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
On my business journey, I have struggled with financing certain things for my business such as LLC, website, merchandise, marketing tools, and equipment. Having to work a full-time job just to support your business is a struggle within itself. However, I am very thankful to be able to have a full-time job to assist my business needs. Maintaining your business independently has also been a challenge in my journey. You have to stay active everyday, doing something for your business.

ANJTELSTYLES provides unique, classic streetwear styles for women using selected vintage clothing items, creating a contrast of looks for every occasion. I am known for my style and love to see it on my clients. My vision is to empower and elevate them by the styles they wear, enhancing their wardrobe to boost their self-esteem and confidence. These styles will allow for you to envision yourself with an enhanced twist and be the ultimate you! Wear what you want to wear and be yourself. BE YOU is my slogan.

My family and fiancé deserve all the credit. They have all been my biggest supporters throughout this journey. They have continuously prayed for me and with me, encouraged and uplifted me. They have all helped with the success of my business by shopping with me all the time and posting my business on their personal social media pages to help with marketing my styles.
