Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Pipoyan.
Anna is a professional dancer, choreographer and actress and co-founder of Anna’s world entertainment international dance company and booking agency.
She has always been interested in all nationality of folk dances since her childhood.
She started her dancing journey at 5 years old. Anna studied for 10 years and graduated with an Excellency Diploma of International Folk Dance from the University of Choreography for Russian Ballet in Yerevan, Armenia. She arrived in New York in her teens and danced professionally and choreographed her own dance pieces since. She has also trained in New York with well-known dance teachers at Broadway Dance Center NY, and Belly dance at Belly dance studios NY.
Specifically, she is trained in classical ballet, Armenian traditional folk dance, Flamenco/Gypsy dance, Belly dance, samba and Bollywood Indian dance.
She participated in “America’s got talent” show and got raving reviews from all judges.
Anna has performed in theatrical settings as well as corporate and private events. She had organized and performed with sold out concerts at JOE’S PUB at Public Theatre NYC, Dorm NYC, Le poison rouge NYC, Bb King Blues NYC and recently sold out concert at Highline Ballroom NYC.
She has also performed for many celebrities at their private events: Mikhail Baryshnikov, Henry Kissinger, Barbara Walters, Oscar de la Renta (designer), Marc Jacob’s 1001 Arabian holiday costumed party at Rockefeller center Rainbow ,Beyoncé and JZ private event.
She was featured as the main dancer in the music video for renown regent singer Don Omar “Salio el Sol”.
Anna acted in series HBO “The Knick” series, “The Following”, “Orange is new black” and “Mysteries of Laura”.
Her recent movie “Welkome Home” was an official selection at KVFF FILM FESTIVAL IN 2014.
Her world entertainment was co-founded in 2001 by Anna Pipoyan, it is entertainment dance agency with a variety of international dances and multiple versatile entertainers for events.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Well, I arrived in New York when I was 18 years old and as an immigrant to arrive in New York without any help and no base or platform and rebuild my feature in a new country with new language, new mentality and and lifestyle that I would say the biggest challenge of all.

Anna’s world entertainment is entertainment /dance company booking agency.
I am very proud of it. I always dreamt to have my dance company and I wanted to mix all cultures and variety of style of dances into one.
The company provides all sorts of entertainment for customer’s upcoming event whatever event it is we can accommodate! Whether it is small birthday party with a small budget or huge corporate party, wedding etc.
All shows and acts and theme decor can be customized upon particular theme or request.
As an agent and dancer myself, I offer to my customer’s variety of dance shows and dancers, singers, mesmerizing acts, DJ, Theme decor, live band and much more.
Basically, my goal was as you enter to Anna’s world entertainment all your imagination about entertainment that you have envisioned will comes true.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
MY memory when I was 6 years old was dancing repeatedly Michael Jackson’s Thriller. I just loved it!
