Meet Antoine White of Young Black Entrepreneurs Networking and Development Group in Irving

Today we’d like to introduce you to Antoine White.

Antoine, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My journey started in Brooklyn, Illinois. I lived there until I was 12 years old then moved to St. Louis, Missouri. After completing high school, I attended Lincoln University of Missouri (HBCU). I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. After graduation, I moved back to St. Louis for a few years. I eventually moved to Dallas in September 2015. I learned the culture and tempo of the city and decided to start my company in June 2017. I started my company to help advance the African American culture in the city of Dallas. The intent was to bring the community, entrepreneurs, and like-minded individuals together.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I would say that the road has been smooth for the most part. I would say the most difficult thing has been to get people to be open to change and new ideas. Most people are comfortable with everyday life and traditions. With my company, I like to bring in collaborative energies, forward-thinking and thought patterns, and new experiences. Sometimes, you have to introduce new concepts to wake people up.

Please tell us about Young Black Entrepreneurs Networking and Development Group – what should we know?
The name of my company is Young Black Entrepreneurs Networking and Development Group. My company is dedicated to assist, promote, and encourage positive lifestyles and interactions of Young Black Entrepreneurs and the African American community. I host events directly cater to the African American Community. These events consist of Networking Events, Lectures, Seminars, Book Clubs, HBCU Events, Health and Wellness Events, and many more different things!!! I would say that I am most proud of the value and substance that I bring to my community. Every event that I plan is thought out, purposeful, and meant to bring great value and pride to the community. I would say that my INTENT sets me apart. Every move that I make is made with the intent of bringing positive energy, thoughts, and interactions to the African American community.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I had an awesome family growing up. A great family structure. My two awesome parents, Robert and Vicky White. And I also had two outstanding older brothers growing up who helped me out a lot, Robert White III and Quinton White.
