Today we’d like to introduce you to April White.
Hi April, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Jackson, Mississippi, and I now call the Dallas–Fort Worth area home. As a first-generation college graduate, I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in public health. My professional journey has included work in healthcare, community health, and disaster recovery with FEMA. Each experience has strengthened my passion for helping others while teaching me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of continuing to grow.
I have also always had a creative and entrepreneurial side. I began sharing different parts of my life—including fitness, wellness, skincare, beauty, travel, and everyday routines—because I enjoy creating honest and relatable content. That creativity also led me to develop Abundantly High LLC, a faith-inspired lifestyle brand.
Today, I am bringing all of those interests together as I continue growing as an entrepreneur and lifestyle creator. My goal is to encourage other women to embrace every part of who they are, prioritize their well-being, and create a fulfilling life without feeling pressured to have everything figured out first.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges has been balancing school, work, entrepreneurship, and my personal well-being at the same time. There have been seasons of financial uncertainty, inconsistent work opportunities, personal health challenges, and grief—all while I was still expected to keep moving forward and figure out what came next.
Building a business and putting myself online have also challenged my confidence. It is easy to compare your progress to people who appear to have better resources, larger platforms, or everything already figured out. I have had to learn how to create with what I have, remain consistent even when results are slow, and give myself grace without completely giving up on my goals.
Those experiences have made me more resilient and intentional. I am learning that progress doesn’t always look perfect or follow a specific timeline. Sometimes success is simply choosing to begin again, even after life has interrupted your plans.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I create lifestyle content centered on fitness, wellness, skincare, beauty, fashion, travel, and everyday routines. My content ranges from workouts and strength goals to GRWMs, product reviews, wellness routines, and new experiences. I also use my creativity through Abundantly High LLC, my faith-inspired lifestyle brand.
What I am most proud of is that I continue creating while still evolving. I do not present myself as someone who has reached a perfect final destination. I share the process—the discipline, setbacks, restarts, and small victories that come with becoming a healthier, more confident version of yourself.
What sets me apart is the combination of creativity, education, and real-life experience that I bring to my platform. My background in public health gives me a deeper appreciation for overall well-being, while my personal journey keeps my content honest and relatable. I want women to see that they can be ambitious, creative, fashionable, health-conscious, and multifaceted without limiting themselves to one identity. More than anything, I want my work to inspire people to start where they are and create a life that feels abundant to them.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Faith and personal development play a major role in keeping me motivated and grounded. I enjoy watching Pastor Mike Jr. and listening to The Christian Bae Podcast because they help me strengthen my faith and apply it to everyday life.
Some of my favorite personal-development podcasts are The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett, On Purpose with Jay Shetty, The Mindset Mentor with Rob Dial, and The School of Greatness with Lewis Howes. I appreciate conversations that challenge the way I think, encourage personal accountability, and provide practical lessons about purpose, success, wellness, and overcoming setbacks.
When it comes to books, I am naturally drawn to topics involving self-development, spirituality, mindset, and financial growth. These resources help me remain open to learning and remind me that becoming the person I want to be requires continuous growth—mentally, spiritually, professionally, and financially.
