Today we’d like to introduce you to Arjun Srivastava And Anita Srivastava.
Hi Arjun Srivastava and Anita Srivastava, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Over the past three years, my sister Anita and I have been working on FamLove, a project that grew directly out of the grief, confusion, and responsibility we experienced while caring for our grandparents in their final years.
Both of us come from over a decade of experience in technology, product, and design. We’ve spent years building digital tools, but caregiving was the first time we felt how inadequate most systems are when real life gets heavy. We were suddenly managing appointments, medications, schedules, paperwork, and family communication, all while trying to process what was happening emotionally. Information was scattered, decisions felt urgent, and support for caregivers themselves was almost nonexistent.
That experience became the foundation for FamLove, a caregiving app designed to help families coordinate care tasks, manage schedules, store important information, and stay connected in one place. The goal wasn’t to overcomplicate caregiving with more tools, but to reduce friction during an already overwhelming time.
We continue to build and refine FamLove based on real caregiver experiences, including our own. Our hope is simple: to create the kind of support we wish we had, and to help families feel a little more grounded during one of the hardest chapters of life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We started FamLove while still grieving, still processing, and still carrying the emotional weight of caregiving. Building something rooted in pain means you relive it constantly. There were moments when working on the product felt healing, and moments when it felt overwhelming.
From a practical standpoint, there is a lot of nuance in the caregiving space in America and building a product, brand and community that can serve everyone requires a lot of research and continuous learning. Caregiving looks completely different for every individual and family due to different socioeconomic backgrounds, geographic location and available resources, family dynamics, cultural differences and beliefs, just to name a few. We had to be intentional about what FamLove should do and, just as importantly, what it should not do.
As we built FamLove, one issue kept surfacing again and again: how isolating caregiving can be. Even with family involved, the emotional weight often falls on one or two people, and there’s rarely a place to ask questions, think things through, or feel supported in the moment.
That realization led to FLai, FamLove’s built-in AI companion. FLai was created as a supportive feature within the app, not to give medical advice or replace human care, but to offer thoughtful guidance, help caregivers navigate everyday questions, and provide a steady presence during moments that feel overwhelming or lonely.
Another challenge has been explaining caregiving as a real, urgent problem to people who had never experienced it. Caregiving is often invisible until it happens to you. Translating emotional labor, burnout, and family complexity into something investors, partners, and even friends could understand takes time and persistence. There is not a single human being on earth who will not be impacted by caregiving. You will either provide care or need care at some point in your life.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

There are many ways people can support or collaborate with FamLove.
Visit our website at https://famloveapp.com, download our app and follow us on our socials @famloveapp
For caregivers, using the app, sharing feedback, and telling us what truly helps or doesn’t helps shape the product in meaningful ways. Real stories inform everything we build.
For professionals, we are open to partnerships with healthcare organizations, eldercare providers, therapists, social workers, and community groups who want to better support caregivers beyond clinical settings.
For creators, advocates, and organizations, collaborating on content, events, or conversations around caregiving, grief, and family dynamics helps bring visibility to an often overlooked experience.
And for those who simply want to support, sharing FamLove with someone who is caregiving, or even just acknowledging caregivers in your own life, makes a real difference. Caregiving is not just a personal issue. It is a societal one, and it will touch most families eventually.
FamLove exists to make that journey feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more human.
