Today we’d like to introduce you to Artonique Hodges.
Artonique, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started off as a troubled teenager. After being arrested at 17, I was at the lowest point of my life. However, God turned my life around and I decided that I didn’t want to become another statistic. I graduated high school and went to Howard University where I graduated with honors.
After that, I Published three books, became a TV host for a while in Seattle, and then moved to Dallas to pursue my career as a Christian speaker and social media influencer. I am going on a speaking tour in Texas from February through May 2020 where I will be talking about how to find your purpose and package your passion so you can attract opportunities. I have a podcast called “the Christian girl chronicles” as well as a YouTube channel and Instagram account.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
If I could start all over, I would’ve told myself that things are going to be a lot harder than you think and there are a LOT of new skills you have to pick up along the way! this requires getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. being an entrepreneur means you constantly have to pitch yourself and put your best foot forward. you could have the best product in the world or be the most talented person- but what’s the point if you don’t know how to package it and sell yourself?

I am known for teaching people how to package their passion and pitch themselves to companies/people who can give them opportunities. I am a solopreneur and I was able to grow my Instagram to more than 27k followers, get tens of thousands of podcast downloads, publish three books, and organize my own speaking tour. these are the skills I teach people!
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is when I went to Disneyland with my family!
