Today we’d like to introduce you to Ash Daredia.
Ashraf, more commonly known as Ash, is the founder of Dallas based fashion house, Pink Chiffon. After living in America for many years and operating a thriving business in the telecommunications industry, she took a brief hiatus and went home to Pakistan to sit back and reevaluate what she really wanted. A few years in the hustle and bustle of Karachi filled with numerous social commitments all buzzing with trendy fashion helped her identify a desperate need in the south Asian fashion scene in America – something clicked right then! Clothing that was affordable, stylish, minimal and comfortable is how Pink Chiffon was conceptualized. After having such a huge success in the Dallas market with her own brand, she joined forces with House of Ensemble in Pakistan to bring the best designers to the stylish South Asian community across the United States via trunk shows. But strategy never stops and neither does Ash as there’s always something fresh and new on the horizon.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes & No in any retail business it’s not only selling product it’s about great customer service it took me few years to just make my brand and it’s been not too much struggle.
Pink chiffon – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We sell Pakistani name brand designers under one roof. My main focus is towards pret line more towards modern cuts. We are mainly known as we sell one or 2 same designs not more than that so people find this idea unique.5 years back what started as hobby is now my full time business. I don’t force people to buy they love that about me & pink chiffon and we do our business very ethically.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
When I was awarded south Asian women business award by Governor Greg Abbot.
