Meet Ashley Thomas in Grand Prairie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Thomas.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ashley. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
During my senior year of high school at age 17, I gave birth to one of life’s biggest blessing, my daughter A’talia Nicole. Being young, I knew I had so many odds against me. The statistics were so negative for teen mothers like me. Despite my circumstances, I did not allow society’s opinion to become my reality. Five years after
graduating high school, I completed college. After working for great companies, I knew I wanted more for my life, so I gradually started seeking to find my purpose. At age 26, I decided to take all my savings and invest in myself. I started a company called Fire ANT Marketing and Advertising, LLC. Shortly after launching my business and becoming well known locally, people began to see something in me I never truly discovered myself. A voice! I began to do speaking engagements at local schools and events, something I never in my life imagined doing. I learned that I had a unique story to tell and that boys, girls, men and women all over needed to hear it.

Has it been a smooth road?
This journey has been far from easy. Being a mother you wear several hats. It literally feels like you have no days off. Juggling home life, work life and everything else in between can get extremely hard. I’ve been blessed to have a great community around me over the years. The biggest struggle I have faced and still do face at times is balance. I don’t have a tight eye to eye relationship with balance. I love my job and I love my daughter. Managing and making time for both can be conflicting. I keep a focused calendar and map out my days the night before to really help me stay on task and choose whats priority.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Ashley Thomas Inspires story. Tell us more about it.
I’m an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and published author. I specialize in restoration and revitalization of youth and young adult women who have experienced traumatic life events such as teen pregnancy while offering tactical guidance of how families can navigate their path toward success. I’m most proud of how I turned my pain into a purpose to help others like myself. Telling and sharing a story that I was so ashamed of has been extremely liberating and therapeutic. Once I realized my voice was the key to free others, I vowed to never look back and to never be silent again.

What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to or planning for – any big changes?
Honestly, the visions that I have seen in regards to my life and the calling are mind-blowing. As long as I continue to keep God first and be his hands and feet, I have a lot in store for my life. I see a global impact taking place. I see courses, more books, programs, workshops, clothing line, workbooks, and conferences, etc. I will and declare to be one of the most influential and impactful motivational speakers of my generation. Leaving a legacy that my daughter and future family will be proud of.
