Meet Ashlie Hoffman of Who What Where Photography in Flagstaff

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlie Hoffman.

Ashlie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The first time I held a camera and snapped a picture, I was obsessed. Obsessed with capturing everything! From everyday moments to the scenery around me. I must have spent thousands of dollars on disposable cameras and the development of those photos back before I ever had a camera of my own. In 2019, I decided to open my own business and in just a year, it’s exploded! I continue to grow and share the stories of couples, families, and the nature that surrounds us.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I am someone who struggles with anxiety and at times, I can really be a perfectionist. I’m slowly learning that not every shoot will turn out to be magazine quality but so long as I continue to learn and grow, I can stay consistent and provide people with memories they’ll cherish forever.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Who What Where Photography – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I am a photographer that started out with landscapes who has branched out to elopements, families, and seasonal minis. What sets me apart? I care about my clients! You have hair in your face? I’m gonna come fix it! Don’t like a double chin? Me neither! I want you to love the way you look in your photos! Any photographer can snap a photo, I want to snap a photo you feel confident in! As far as landscapes go, I still love to venture out in nature and eventually I’d love to have my work featured in a gallery!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am hoping to obtain a lash and makeup license to add another level of service to my clients! Along with that, I want to start getting into fine art. I frequent antique stores to find new props and inspiration for my seasonal minis. Ultimately, I want to be an innovator and do things no one else is doing.
