Meet Ashton Ulrich of Dallas, TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashton Ulrich.

Ashton Ulrich

Hi Ashton, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey began in Los Angeles, where my family settled while I was still in school. Shortly after graduating high school, I had the opportunity to work with Disney in music. Like many 18-year-olds, I wasn’t entirely sure what direction I wanted to take, so I also began assisting a celebrity stylist. With passions for both music and fashion, I dove into both worlds—contributing to styling for the Golden Globes, Oscars, Grammys, and major music videos, while also learning the business of music behind the scenes. Ultimately, music became my true focus. I joined Hollywood Records in A&R, where I discovered my passion for finding and developing talent. I even created a music showcase in Los Angeles to give emerging artists the chance to perform in front of record executives. Along the way, I had the privilege of working with artists like Demi Lovato and Sabrina Carpenter, contributing to major motion picture soundtracks such as Avatar, Frozen, and Moana, and collaborating with UMG Nashville on new country acts. Eventually, I stepped fully into A&R, signing my own artists. Years of dedication led to one of my proudest milestones: celebrating two #1 Alternative records with my bands. When the pandemic reshaped life for so many, I moved to Dallas, Texas, where my family had roots. What was meant to be a temporary stay quickly grew into something more. I fell in love with the city and its community, and I decided to plant deeper roots. I enrolled at SMU in the Park Cities while also taking real estate courses, another passion of mine. Real estate had always been a personal interest. My family owned rental properties, my mom and I had flipped a few houses, and I often spent weekends touring open houses in Los Angeles—even after late nights at concerts. Though it was a dramatic career shift, stepping into real estate felt natural. What I soon realized was that the skills I’d developed in music—identifying talent, negotiating deals, managing contracts, cultivating relationships, and obsessing over the details—translated seamlessly into real estate. The stage may be different, but the performance is the same: serving people well, creating opportunities, and building something lasting.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road—but that’s where the growth happened. Making the transition from a structured, corporate career in music to building a business in real estate on my own came with challenges. At the same time, I was relocating, starting school, and launching into a brand-new industry all at once. It was demanding, but those experiences taught me how to adapt quickly, manage multiple priorities, and stay focused under pressure. Looking back, I’m proud I took that leap. What made the transition much smoother was joining Allie Beth Allman & Associates and learning under The Sullivan Tillery Group. With over 20 years in the business and $650 million in sales, they accelerated my learning curve and gave me the best foundation possible. The mentorship I received didn’t just help me understand the market—it taught me how to deliver the highest level of service to my clients. Today, I bring to real estate the same discipline, creativity, and relationship-driven approach that fueled my music career. Every challenge along the way prepared me to be the kind of agent who’s not only knowledgeable but also deeply committed to helping clients achieve their goals.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a Dallas-based luxury real estate agent in the Park Cities area that is passionate about making the buying, selling, and leasing process less overwhelming and far more rewarding. Whether I’m helping a client lease their first home, guiding a family into their forever home, or preparing a seller for their next chapter, my mission is to make the experience smooth, strategic, and genuinely enjoyable. What sets me apart is the unique perspective I bring from managing multi-million-dollar projects in high-pressure industries before real estate. That experience taught me the value of discretion, creativity, and trust, as well as the importance of staying calm under pressure, spotting details others might overlook, and negotiating with confidence. Today, I channel that same professionalism, creativity, and advocacy into every transaction. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: real estate is never just a transaction—it’s about people, their stories, and the futures they’re building. My role is not only to help clients buy, sell, or lease, but to guide them into their next stage of life with confidence and excitement. No question is too small, no showing is too many, and no call is ever too early when it comes to helping my clients. I see it as my responsibility to not only deliver results, but to ensure every client feels informed, supported, and confident from beginning to end.

What were you like growing up?
I was always creative growing up. I loved music, writing stories, making clothes, and baking, and I could spend hours getting lost in a project. At the same time, I cherished time with my friends and family — those connections were everything to me. Music and fashion inspired me early on, and I was drawn to anything that let me imagine, create, or bring people together. Looking back, those interests really shaped who I am today: someone who values creativity, details, and relationships — all of which continue to guide me in my career.
