Meet Azmina Pirani of Frisco Family Arts

Today we’d like to introduce you to Azmina Pirani.

Azmina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always had a love for art and entrepreneurship, but never thought of putting it to work. I have a degree in Healthcare Administration Management and always assumed that was what I was supposed to do. Frisco Family Arts were all an accident. I used to manage a private art school while attending college when one day, a parent asked me to face paint for his child’s birthday party. I immediately took the offer, not knowing what this would turn into. Two years later, Frisco Family Arts turned into a statewide company offering face painting, balloon twisting, photobooths, characters/princesses and anything that turns a dream event into a reality. I am so grateful for this company, and there is nothing more that I would rather be doing.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although I have a passion for art and entertainment, it has not always been a smooth road. Even though I only knew how to face paint in the beginning, there was a lot more to learn and to offer. I do so much research, add on more services, network every day, and I am still not halfway there. My biggest challenge is dealing with the unknown. Entrepreneurship has no definitive answers, and as much of an obstacle, that is, it is something that I cherish deeply. Volatility is ruthless, but I love the adventure.

Frisco Family Arts – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Frisco Family Arts is an event entertainment company. We cater to all ages, from babies to seniors. We specialize in face painting, glitter/henna tattoos, balloon twisters, characters, and more. We are available for birthday parties, city, and corporate events, HOA events, anniversaries and the list goes on. I am most proud that I built this company from scratch at age 21, by myself, while attending college. I know this is what I want to pursue, and have dedicated all of my time to this business since leaving behind my full time office job. What sets me apart is the I see the entertainment industry as a profession, not a side gig or a hobby. I have 100% respect towards anyone in this industry and treat my company as a company, not something on the side. I give my full respect to my team and clients and nurture every part of Frisco Family Arts.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Every time I finish a successful event is a proud moment for me. It is one step closer to getting that referral or reaching that goal. It is the smallest comment, like when a child says, “you are the best artist ever!”, that makes me realize I am doing what my destiny calls for. However, I would also like to add that I am a proud partner of the City of Frisco, Legacy Hall, and the City of Addison.
