Today we’d like to introduce you to Beata Brooks.
Hi Beata, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I pursued the field of Speech Pathology with a genuine desire to help others. From my early years in high school through my undergraduate studies, I actively participated in community outreach programs and volunteered with organizations supporting exceptional individuals. I earned a double major in Linguistics and Communication Studies from York University, which further strengthened my passion for understanding human communication and inspired me to pursue a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
After taking a year to travel, volunteer, and work, I began my graduate studies at Texas Woman’s University, where I earned my Master’s degree in 2008. During this time, I worked as a Speech Therapy Assistant and, upon graduating in 2008, began my career in public schools. For six years, I served on AAC, autism, and evaluation teams while also providing early intervention services and supporting clients through a local private practice in Fort Worth.
I later transitioned into home health with a local children’s hospital, where I gained extensive experience treating complex diagnoses and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. My professional journey then continued with a local home health agency, where I further deepened my clinical expertise.
After welcoming my second child, I felt a strong calling to create something that would allow me to continue serving my community while maintaining balance with my family life. This led to the founding of Beata Brooks Therapy, an established practice dedicated to empowering children and adults with the skills to grow, communicate, and thrive.
Today, I am proud to lead a team of exceptional therapists who share my passion for providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Our specialties include motor and sensory feeding, articulation and sound production, language development, neurodivergent individual and group therapy. We also specialize in myofunctional therapy with focus on tethered oral tissues (such as tongue, lip, and buccal ties), sleep apnea, tongue thrust, thumb digit/sucking, TMJD, and preparation of jaw surgery,
I am truly grateful to be part of the growing community of private practice owners in the DFW area and to continue making a difference—one client, one family, and one success story at a time.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Becoming a speech-language pathologist has always felt like my calling—it’s something that has felt right from the very beginning. Stepping into the role of entrepreneur, however, was a new and humbling learning experience. Starting my own practice wasn’t easy; I had young children at home, my husband was beginning a new career, and I was preparing to leave the stability of a full-time job to follow my instincts. Looking back, I’m deeply grateful that I took that leap—and even more thankful for the unwavering support of my family and my community.
Now, more than seven years into business ownership, I’ve found a rhythm that allows me to be present for my children and husband while continuing to provide exceptional, personalized care for my clients. I value the flexibility that private practice offers and the ability to work with clients whose goals align with the mission and values of my practice.
I’m incredibly thankful for the Fort Worth community, whose trust and encouragement have made this journey possible. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of consulting on cases both abroad and across the U.S., mentoring students, and collaborating with talented professionals in the field. After 18 years as a speech-language pathologist, my passion for this work remains as strong as ever.
Today, Beata Brooks Therapy proudly offers a range of services including social groups, feeding workshops and trainings, myofunctional therapy, alongside traditional speech therapy that targets sound production, expressive and receptive language, early language development, and executive function. We serve individuals from birth through adulthood, meeting each client where they are and helping them reach their full potential.
I truly love the path I’m on and look forward to continuing to provide exceptional, compassionate care to our community—and beyond.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

My goal is to continue waking up each day inspired by what I do and committed to this path for the rest of my professional career. Staying true to the mission of my practice is at the heart of that commitment. I find great joy in sharing my knowledge and expertise with others, while also remaining a lifelong learner myself.
I believe that the more we learn, the more we recognize how much there is still to discover. This humbling perspective fuels my dedication to continual growth and to serving my clients with dignity, compassion, and the highest level of expertise.
Looking ahead, I am eager to keep expanding my network of providers and collaborators to ensure that therapy services remain both effective and efficient.
