Meet Chantelle Becking of Becking Clinic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantelle Becking.

Chantelle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always been a writer. Mostly my writing has been truth serum at some level for a world a teensy bit too filtered. Having it all together is hard. Too hard. My life has been like most of yours…unpredictable. I lived the illusion of control while being anything but in control. I would have never guessed I would be momma to five fierce girls, but international adoption happened once, then twice. In a matter of a few years, my brood of two was seemingly being added to weekly once we agreed to take a dip in the foster care pool. I was a fish out of water. The thing I thought I could never do…there I was doing it. Becoming a foster parent radically changed our daily lives. We had several kids come into our home mostly for short terms, but over the six years we fostered we added 3 more daughters to the mix. Wow. Talk about feeling totally out of control!

If you have ever felt like not enough, struggled to keep up with others who look like they have life more together…me too. It is constant battle to just be. I wrote my book Unapologetically You: Freedom to Be last year. It was a long time in the making and once it was published, I felt totally exposed. As the constant inappropriate friend, I knew it was a risk. I knew in some ways I said too much, but also felt it needed to be said. We can feel so alone… We actually have so much in common. As a writer and business owner, I meet with women daily who have put themselves on the back burner for far too long. We lose sight of our own dreams sometimes in the mix of taking care of everyone else.

My hope is for readers to feel seen. I hope they laugh frequently while reading my mishaps and also get a streak of gumption to get back to it. The dream. The pursuit. We all deserve happy. It can look a thousand ways. I love traveling and speaking to women all over the US. We are in this thing together friends! We are powerful souls! Maybe you wanted to change the world but now feel like you can’t even seem to find your purse most days…also me. I don’t have the magic key but maybe just a fresh perspective for you. It is wild ride raising five girls. Of course, I want to raise them to be their strong powerful selves….And the best way I can do that is to do the same for myself…Because we all know they are watching us, our kids. Our actions speak so much louder than our words! So have hope dear soul! We can figure this out together.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
With both our business and most recently completing my book it has not been all sunshine and rainbows. It has taken grit and determination. I have failed and learned. I have said too much at times and others too little in my writing. Every day it is a new journey, a new opportunity. If you ever wonder why the life you planned is not panning out- maybe it is because there is something far bigger out there for you. Greatness does not come without a price. My family is a prime example of that. Never in a thousand years was I planning to be a mom to five…much less five girls. You know the saying- We make plans while God laughs…My whole life has been something like that. I have been a small town girl, a city girl, I have lived in an African Village, married the man, messed up in a thousand ways including the mom game, and I have lived to tell about it. I will say- taking risks are worth it!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Becking Clinic – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
My husband & I own Becking Clinic based in Missouri (www.drbecking.com). We work with women all over the US doing all-natural weight loss. It is a whole life approach. We have helped over 10,000 men & women get back to their most powerful selves & it’s a journey that starts from the inside out. Weight loss can be so taboo, but the truth is- losing weight is about so much more than the number on the scale. We need to dig into our emotions to have healing. Once people begin to see the emotions connected to food habits there can be some serious healing. It is so rewarding watching our clients have breakthrough in their lives.

I am also a writer & speaker. I just published my book Unapologetically You: Freedom to Be. I travel and speak to women all over the US.

Both my journey as a writer and our business is specifically geared to help women get just a little freer. We can get stuck on the hamster wheel a bit. With so many responsibilities, it is hard to put ourselves on the map of priorities but it is so important. We have got some world-changing to do and we can’t do it on an empty tank.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I will continue to speak and share my experiences in hopes of helping others and reaching the masses. My faith, marriage, adoption, and foster care are all important pieces on my story. Most recently, I experienced the whirlwind of becoming a kidney donor to a total stranger. Another thing that was absolutely not on my do to list. So I roll with it. I find when I am the most willing and open amazing (and sometimes scary) opportunities happen. There truly never is a dull moment! We must stop living small. We are meant to live large! Big Love, Chantelle
