Meet Bianca Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bianca Green.

Bianca, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I feel like I started when I was about three. I had been doing art all the up until my sophomore year in high school due to unfortunate events. This caused me to change my passion. Then I started doing costuming for my high school theatre program, and I got pretty good at it. After graduating high school, I still wanted to do theatre, so I joined up with a self-funded theatre troupe, called Musicomedies.

I feel this where I truly began to make connections that would last me a lifetime. On the other hand, I was interested in Japan and its culture since about fourth grade. Originally I wanted to become an artist and work there. Now I just want to be able to experience the culture there as I have dedicated so much of my life to learning about it. At this point and time, this is my fifth year taking Japanese. I will be completing my minor is three semesters time.

In terms of my major in Media Arts, I already have a headstart, which the in-progress production of my short film. It’s ironic because Media Arts wasn’t my initial choice for a major. It was going to be music. However, my university didn’t have the exact course I wanted to take. Honestly thinking about it now, if I had gone back and done this all again, I would’ve done it the same way.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not at all, I’ve gone through the loss of family, teachers who abuse their authority and having to remove myself from toxic friendships. It’s honestly just a part of life I feel, no one ever said it was easy to become successful.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
Honestly, I’m not really a business as much as a public figure. I specialize in I’d say fine arts. I’m very well known for having consistently dyed hair and wearing eccentric statement pieces. I’m most proud of the fact that I couldn’t be me without the support of my community.

What I think sets me apart from others is the fact that I am comfortable with who I am and that no one can take that from me. No one is going to do you except you so do it.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I feel like a lot of good luck is what got me this far, with the validation of my costuming skills and creative ability in terms of my short film. I’ve also been blessed with maintaining a 4.0 while juggling school, work, and extracurriculars.

Also, I would like to plug my really great friends! I don’t think I would get this far without them supporting me to I want to emphasize that.

Mama is so, so very proud of you. Keep on serving God the way you have and He will always guide your path. Like Grammy always said in Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose” Even when it doesn’t feel good, it is good.

Love you always my most favorite Bianca
