Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Amundson.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been in the plumbing industry from a very young age, over 36 years. I received my Journeyman license in April of 1992 and my master license in 2001. I recently decided to start my own company so I applied for and received my responsible masters license in January of this year. I am fortunate to have my brother Ray, in the industry as well. We make a really good team so I asked him to join me. We officially opened for business in February and have done really well. I’m about ready to hire yet another plumber. I am blessed. Not everyone gets to do what they love every single day. I love a challenge and plumbing provides that.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have a lot of contacts in the industry and have benefited from them. Those that know me, know my high standards and the level of quality I deliver and expect from everyone here at Amundson Plumbing. I believe it is because of this that I have been so successful.
Amundson Plumbing – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Amundson Plumbing is locally owned and operated and offers quality workmanship at competitive rates. We are insured, licensed with the Texas State Board of Plumbing and registered with the City of Plano and other surrounding cities. We offer a wide range of repair and maintenance options for both residential and commercial clients. We do everything from basic toilet repairs to whole house water or drain pipe replacement. Commercial clients have the added benefit of my many years of commercial plumbing experience. Everything from Boiler repair or replacement, Chiller systems and even lift station repair or replacement.
I am most proud of my team and what we have accomplished in just over three months in business. The key is taking care of your customers. Explain their options so they can make an informed decision. We warranty our work and are not satisfied unless you are satisfied. I and everyone who works with me, believes in honesty, integrity and providing excellent customer service every time.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The moment my father and mother came by to see the office. Even as a grown man, it still feels good to make your parents proud.
