Bishop Babies began as the idea to offer “one-stop shopping” for all the education and support new parents need. I started by offering classes like cloth diapering, baby wearing, baby care and CPR and gradually expanded. Bishop Babies now includes a nurse hotline. I also sought certification in lactation, car seat safety, and postpartum doula to better meet my clients’ needs. Bishop Babies is now a full-service baby concierge. If I don’t offer a service, I can refer parents to a colleague who does.
Has it been a smooth road?
Bishop Babies is the only business of its kind in the Dallas area. It has sometimes been difficult to help clients understand not only the services I offer but also the need for them. For example, up to 90% of car seats are improperly installed because their importance is sometimes overlooked.

Bishop Babies is known as an all-inclusive resource for new parents. I over a complete range of classes for expectant families and then carry them through the newborn period with lactation, postpartum doula, and car seat services.
I specialize in lactation services and car seat safety checks/installation. There are relatively few car seat technicians in this area and I am the only one registered in my zip code. I am most proud of the difference I make in my clients’ lives. A lactation consultation can drastically improve quality of life for a new mother and her infant and a properly installed car seat makes a child exponentially safer.
What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
My success is best defined by the positive impacts I can make in the lives of families. I value repeat clients and client referrals because I was able to help someone such that they returned for additional services or referred someone else to me.
