Meet Brandi Waits of BizzBuzz in Irving

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandi Waits.

Brandi believes in making the world a better place. Starting from this core value, she built BizzBuzz to engage entrepreneurs who share a commitment to bridging business with a social mission. She leverages her talent, expertise, and networks to help her clients build their dreams through technology-based solutions.

Dedication to a Cause:
In 2011, she left the comfort of the United States to work on a humanitarian project to build a school in a remote village in Nicaragua. It was here that the desire to work closely with the non-profit world was born. A few years later, she headed to Bali on a similar mission. This time, she discovered ROLE, a non-profit organization committed to providing opportunities for women.

Upon returning home, Brandi established a sister 501(c)(3) organization in the United States, managed a fundraising event and sent several thousand dollars to Indonesia to help support this cause. Traveling abroad and working closely with the non-profit sector gave her a deep appreciation for improving the quality of life, one program and one life at a time.

Her professional expertise ranges from managing multi-million dollar technology and sales projects for large corporations to orchestrating full-service solutions and campaigns for small budget start-up operations. For more than 12 years, clients have looked to Brandi to plan, organize, brand and market their products and services.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It is my personal belief that if you find yourself on a road with no challenges – you might want to consider a course correction. The struggles of starting a new business began with the financial obstacles of any venture. It was difficult in the beginning to try and vet out opportunities that had a shelf life with paying clients. I work with a broad range of people/opportunities.

Working with an entrepreneur is a sweet spot for me personally (and technically) – but, the funding is not always congruent with the ideas or visions of these visionary people. I also work with small to large companies to assist them in creating or updating there brands/services digital presence (it is a loud and noisy space out there – so, helping people and companies break through the noise barrier is important goals for myself and my team). The first few years of business were solely dedicated to obtaining an A-List of clients.

Now, in our 6th year of business – we have that A-List. I’ve also been fortunate to have a network of professional colleagues and personal friends who have had faith and trust in my ability. This has been a game-changer for me. Outside of the financial challenges, everything else has pretty much a steady cycle of up(s) and down(s) with managing a digital company.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the BizzBuzz story. Tell us more about the business.
I established BizzBuzz in 2012 to offer a direct approach to helping businesses and providing full-service technology development solutions. We hit the ground running with a direct approach to generating success.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
The term “luck” doesn’t sit well. I think (for me personally) its been a matter of being willing to take risks and put in the hard work and remain dedicated is necessary for life and in business. I’ve been given many opportunities (some might call this luck) by people who recognized something in me personally. These opportunities and risks coupled with hard work have been the framework of my personal life and my professional life.

I’ve always been one to accept a challenge because I know that my actions will support whatever decision I’ve made. I think of life as I think of running a marathon. If you show up and do the training – race day will come – sure, you might hit the proverbial wall (and you likely will) – at that point, you push through until the finish life. It hasn’t failed me yet!
