Today we’d like to introduce you to BK Snyder.
BK, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Seven years ago my husband and I had a weekend getaway to Austin and went on an electric bike food truck tour and we fell in love with e-bikes. Going forward each vacation we took we scouted out electric bikes. From Ft Worth, California, Spain even Israel. As we were approaching being empty nesters, we thought it would be perfect time to open our own business. After due diligence, we thought Dallas would be a great place to open a Pedego Electric Bike store.
My husband is an avid cyclist and I just love having fun together this is the perfect thing for us. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 19 years but this has been a great transition for me.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Never owning our business, we didn’t know what to expect. Lawyers, landlords & leases are a very slow arduous process. We only had a couple of hiccups. It took longer than we thought for build out but in retro spec opening in the winter has given me a chance to get my feet under me. Now we are ready for a fun spring/summer season
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Pedego Electric Bikes – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are Pedego Electric Bikes. We sell, rent and even have a guided 2 hr taco tour.
Sales… we have 15 different styles of Pedego’s. From mountain bikes, cruiser bikes, three wheels, a tandem & a cool foldable bike for small spaces. We have a police patroller we’ve been pitching to Dallas first responder. Dallas fire & rescue used one for the Lower Greenville St Patrick’s day parade.

Taco Tour… this guided 2-hour tour is so fun. We will hit three taco places including the Dallas farmers market, bishop arts & Deep Ellum. We’ll also stop and for some landmark selfies. This tour is $75/pp includes ebike, helmet, guide, tacos & t-shirt.
