Blake, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Starting with a dream, coming alive through a prophetic word, birthed out of prayer and an anonymous contribution, I founded Hair Revival studio in late 2014. Through a new relationship and partnership with Ej Ybarbo, we together were able to elevate Hair Revival Studio into what it is today. This strong man of God has brought incredible growth with his great knowledge in hair dressing as well as his huge heart for people.
Hair Revival Studio has something to offer everyone. Specializing in everything from bridal hair to balayage highlighting, from extensions to taper fades, Hair Revival is truly creating a culture worthy of its name.

Has it been a smooth road?
Oh yeah, many struggles – including: Re-zoning issues with the city, the blending of many different beautiful personalities and lives, and agreement on salon playlist…the struggle is real. But we count it all joy the various trials in our lives that only produce steadfastness in our belief and faith in God. Our circumstances don’t shake our emotions or feelings as we stand on the rock Jesus Christ! Oh, how good it is to be set free, a son of God. I could share hundreds of challenges, they all have brought growth to our business and lives. So to anyone out there remember that every challenge presents opportunity, look at the giant before you, and cut its head off! Tell all your fears to bow down and claim victory in the promise land! 🙂

We specialize in high end hair services including: Various hair coloring techniques, balayage, creative tinting & “tease-lites”. Our various cutting services include women & men’s styles of cutting. We have stylists who specialize in wet or dry cutting techniques and an in-house barber who can fix any situation from the neck up, offering high end styling and shaves nothing short of a relaxing facial. What sets us apart is our salon is open and welcome to any and all walks of life. Doesn’t matter how good or bad your day is going. We want you to come in and experience life, encouragement, love, and acceptance in who you are, while getting your hair transformed. You could say, we take your ashes and give you a crown of beauty.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see more and more people choosing to be creative in self-expression, caring less about “current trends” & more on expressing the inner creative person inside themselves. I believe hair dressing will elevate in creative work in the coming years.
