Meet Boka Feliz of Boka Feliz Mexican Kitchen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Boka Feliz. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Boka Feliz

Boka Feliz was created late September of 2021 and opened the restaurant doors to the public in January of 2022. The masterminds behind Boka Feliz are the Hernandez Brothers (Magnolio, Humberto, & Fredy).

The Hernandez Brothers have over 20+ years of combined experience in the food service industry.

After noticing a vacant restaurant space inside Golden Triangle Mall, the brothers decided to pursue their dream of owning and operating their very own kitchen.

Boka Feliz does not provide your typical mall food fare. The restaurant excels in providing homemade, savory dishes using quality and fresh ingredients, including hand-pressed corn tortillas. Popular dishes include the Quesabirria tacos with consommé, Salmon Boka Salad and La Poblana Burger.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It is with great pride to say we have an amazing team at Boka Feliz. Each team member is a vital ingredient in our day-to-day operations. Everyone brings 110% to the table which allows us to excel in our operations.

Our most recent setback happened the morning of October 11, 2023, when a fire caused damage to our restaurant space. The incident caused extensive damage which led to a temporary closure of Boka Feliz.

I don’t think we ever thought something like this would happen to us. However, we are thankful no one was injured. We are currently under restoration and construction and look forward to the day when we are able to re-open our kitchen.

“Boka Feliz” is Spanish for “Happy Mouth.” Our mission is to provide happiness in every bite!

Our menu has been creatively crafted to feature traditional, authentic Mexican meals, featuring our hand-made corn tortillas and “antojitos” (snacks).  From our family to yours, we extend a warm and welcoming invitation to dine with us. There’s something on our menu for every member of your family.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
“One who doesn’t take risks, no matter big or small, will never be able to leave their comfort zone. It is only when you leave your comfort zone, that one is able to grow and achieve!”
